I ferment on-grain, so similar problem as you with the transfer to boiler. I use an auto siphon inside a tall stainless steel hop spider, which acts as a filter. They're cheap
Nice video! I Love the all copper still!! I made mine as well! Why would you want to put the heads back in your still? Did you mean to say "Tails" ? I use the temp of the vapor to determine when to cut the still off! When I get to 190 degrees I cut the hearts off and call anything that comes out my tails and when I get to 200 in the pot that is when I shut the gas off and let things cool down from there - I add that last amount that was collected back into the next batch to catch the remaining alcohol. I want to make some peach shine this next season so thanks for sharing your methods!! Keep making videos!!! I always enjoy watching how others make their shine!
Have you ever tried leaving your thumper empty?? The result may suprise you. I have a peach brandy mash going now, 5lb peaches, 1/2lb malted barley, 5 gallon water. Interested to see if the barley sweetens up the brandy a lil to accent the peaches.
First off - Love your videos keep ‘em coming. What was your starting and finishing gravity of the wash/Mash? You said you cut back on the sugar and if the peaches didn’t give a lot of sugar you may have had a low final ABV which means not a lot of alcohol to get out the other end of the still. Also you should have put some faints in the thumper with the peaches. Or save some mash and put that to there.
hi yes you didn't get too much, not enough sugar. At the end of the run you could have turned up the heat and maybe got some more. Have a look at the run i did a few days ago and you can see the temperatures on my still and the thumper. You have a nice set up thanks for showing.
To the guy on the video making the moonshine you said you cannot find peach juice go to the grocery store buy canned peaches. This is about us close to peach juice as you’re going to find.
Why put heads into next run? You don't drink them so why save them. You said you kept sugar out to help flavor but then add undesirable heads to bump up proof which lessens flavor. Not to mention added run time.

You have much more patience than me!! When can i come over??
Can't wait, should be a great run.
Hey if you need peach juice look in the spanish section for peach nectar. They usually have it at most grocery stores. By jumex or Goya.
You have a very nice set up Sir!
Dont ever stop making these videos love them only one thing if you can do videos on you making the mash I would appreciate that

I have not tried that yet to try the empty thumper. Sounds like something worth trying.

I don't check gravity. I use 1lb sugar/gallon. I also let my thumper empty.
Can you make a video on connecting your water system from your worm to the buckets and how it functions? Thank you .Philip

I don't use heat gauges and never turn the heat up
@@PoppaLongroach i turn up and down the heat depending on the flow at the worm. adjustments are minor of course.

Taste test 140 proof (70%) it is almost like straight Everclear, must had been hot.
Choo Choo, is there anyway I can message you privately, I have many questions. Thanks in advance
Where did you get your still from

Thanks for watching.
