Benny is a maestro composer!
The first jingle sounds like Hamlet III (part two) from 'ABBA Undeleted'. "When the autumn leaves are falling to the ground
when the air gets cold then I think of us" etc.
That’s an interesting observation. Thanks. “Hamlet III” was a piece Benny played right until rehearsals of ABBA’s final concert tour 1980, even off-camera for “Dick Cavett Meets ABBA”. And then, of course, for his debut solo album 1987.
Would love Abba to release Hamlet III

I still have on a cassette, questions that I sent into Radio Sweden around 80/81. The had a half hour English programme on a Sunday night. They also sent me a postcard telling me when my questions would be on the radio Programme.
The used to play Swedish Polka. I remember my mother telling me that she had danced to it on the stage at Newcastle upon Tyne Theatre Royal in England. She was pregnant with me at the time!
I loved hearing his jingles! I think they are making a mistake not using the other ones. Maybe they should sell them as ringtones for your cell phone...I'd buy one. :)
Very interesting,! Not surprising he wanted to create all those jingles. So many of his compositions and creations include jingle-like pieces, like in the song The Visitors (the instrumental melody that comes in just before the last choruses) or in Gemini's song Slow Emotion instrumental fade out. So good and catchy!! He should make Ringtones for us all!😅

When looking at Benny (and the other members) I wonder how many great people never got to shine because they had to pay the rent instead. History is probably full of people who never got to pursue their dreams. It just goes to show you have to follow your heart.

I’m a bit confused. Here in the USA jingles have words with them, like “Snap Crackle pop Rice Krispies “ Are Jingles different in Sweden ?

Hello BB, it so happens that today I watched an interesting documentary called DET SVENSKA SCHLAGERKRIGET [ESC 1975 DOCUMENTARY] (2024)
This film is about 1975 and has something to do with ABBA. Because Sweden, after ABBA's victory at Eurovision in 1974, had problems and difficulties in organizing Eurovision in 1975. The second interesting fact is that it was influenced by leftist circles opposed to commercial music. The Swedes' criticism of ABBA for their commercialism during Sweden's preparations for Eurovision 1975 is grotesque. At one of the 1975 festivals, one of the participants sang an offensive song that was an attack on Stig Anderson. Oddly enough, Sweden withdrew from Eurovision in 1976 and when it returned in 1977 it took last place. History has written its own page. Sweden was not able to cope with ABBA's victory because it was a closed society and the appearance of ABBA changed all that, where already in 1976 ABBA was the biggest band in the world.
