Bert is such an amazing vocalist, one of the best in this scene for sure and amazing background vocals as well. All in all; perfect performance and still soudns amazing today.

I guess I’m the first comment in two years. They don’t make music like this anymore. Bert had people smash chairs into him while he recorded his screams in the studio for the vocals on this album. He wanted his music to authentically be heard the way he felt when he wrote it. I’m going to see them in Orlando next month. Just because it’s my first chance I’ve got to see them. The experiences and the pain they felt that they put into their music is unlike anything I’ve experienced ever. No matter what I’m going through I know I can put this on and get through it.

And it’s crazy how Bert always sounded and sounds still to the day amazing when he screams but during those years he struggled hardcore with throat issues due to screaming and shit and still sounds amazing !! Of course haha and that destruction at the end tho was life
@@cutuptheangels yeah he is amazing. i didnt explain myself too well, but i meant that its sad that he had to go through surgery for his poor technique and ended up, despite having a great vocal range now, with maybe one or two octaves less.
Music when I was in highschool was better than music nowadays. The emo/post-hardcore fad of the early 2000s was a good time for alternative music. There are basically no rock/punk/alternative bands anymore. Sad.
adub4ever that's why they're making a huge comeback in concerts everywhere rn. All these older bands are coming back for worldwide tours. I love it. I got into them in 2011, so I missed the initial hype. But now I get to live it.
So amazing to see a band that can not only perform live with easy and talent but for me personally they were such an amazing escape and truth for me in my childhood. I felt like i could/can relate to every word! They can be emo, because i have enough love for them all :P -Colt
