Why the prolonged shot of the crowd? We completely missed the second rifle inspection and toss off between the three Marines. That's one of the highlights of the Silent Drill Platoon.

Judging from the sound during that cutaway...I think a rifle was dropped.

This was the most skillful mesmerizing intricate display . I WISH I could have been there on this day !! I am just left in awe and wonder. The intricate ballet like tip toe, cross foot, backward, sideways quick steps throughout many back to back precise and different patterns the band forms as the perfectly play these wonderful songs.. Precision drill team...the very slow ballet like steps at times some soldiers take as they stealthfully move from place to place.. The color guard and drill team with their occassional high knee pointed toe precision steps. ALL of the choreography and precision of each participant . .This entire preforming group is just Fantastic and Amazing and Perfection !! The only incredibly frustrating thing that interfered with this observers ability to take it all in, was the videographer's ALL TOO often very ill placed camera positions...on belts, or feet and missing some of the great encompassing views of their performance. I wish the crowd would have shown more appreciation . I would have been on my feet with a big smile and yelling my appreciation for each of these performances. OORAH !!! OORAH !!! OORAH !!! Incredible ! Beautiful ! Awesome !! Thank you for this

"Them's , my boys. Semper Fi! I watched those very sharp looking guys. A very good way to pass a Sunday evening on Memorial Day weekend." I'm a Hollywood Marine. Did a hitch from '67 to '71. Got to see a bit of S.E. Asia, called the Republic of Vietnam. M.O.S. 2811. That's an obsolete mos. They don't have teletype/telephone systems any more. All digitized electronics. Did boot camp with an M-14 rifle.

Way to blow the second rifle inspection. Because you know staring at an unethusiastic group of people was so much more rewarding.

It's funny because while they play amazing music, they also can shoot you from 300 yards! They're Riflemen First.

Only the bad shots shoot from 300 yards away, the good shots from 600 yards or more. I’m USAF and the USMC including My Son Sgt Jonathan Moore are the Pride of he American military! Of course I will also claim the same of all my brothers and sister in arms of the United States Armed Forces, the Jarheads sure to beat the rest of us in looking good and are beaten in drill only by the tomb guards.

Marines do many different things. They are the elite fighting force but I never knew that they had a Conga Line.
