- Here's the highlights from our English countryside wedding 6 months ago. I didn't see much inspiration for gay marriage in the UK when planning our wedding, and so thought this might be helpful for anyone in the process of planning their wedding.
I was nervous about sharing this, as of course it's quite personal and emotional with our speeches and vows, but I really hope you enjoy watching it!

Dear Mikey and Toby, thank you for sharing your lovely wedding with both friends/families, but also with the rest of the world. Your wedding was a beautiful gift of the shared love you have for each other. While watching it, I couldn't help but smile to see to men make their commitment to one another not only for the current day, but also when you're both old and grey. But it also took me back to the day when my now husband and I crossed the threshold of our first home 40 years ago, July 1st, 1984. I hope you two have a long, happy, and beautiful marriage. Congratulations. I am so glad that at least you found happiness in your life. I wish I had so much luck in my life, but after my parents found out that I am gay, I had to escape from my homophobic parents home, my world is collapsing and I might become homeless soon, because I can’t afford the rent for my one room apartment any longer.

So sorry to hear what you're going through. I'm thinking of you, wishing you all the love and support to follow your dreams to happiness. They say everything happens for a reason in life, although at the time its not always realised until later. This is possibly the time, your time to start being who you want to be. . It may also serve as a time of reflection and realisation to those who you've moved on from. . . Time for them to realise what/ who their priorities are. Whether that is inclusive to you or otherwise is something only they can control, however you, your life, your thoughts, loves and feelings are just that . . .
