The day we were in Perugia was the celebration of chocolate festa. Huge blocks of chocolate were carved into whatever shape each sculptor wanted. The offcuts were thrown out to the eager crowds, some folk even using upturned umbrellas to catch more! Loved Perugia, saw those views, the Etruscan arch, the Cathedral.
Grazie mille, sono contenta vi sia piaciuto! Ho visitato sia Ravenna che Ferrara ma purtroppo non ho mai girato un video in queste città. Vi posso dire però che sono entrambe belle, in particolare Ferrara!

Thank you for your great video on my favourite city in Italy the greatest country in the world for as Giuseppe Verdi wrote:you can have the entire universe if you leave me Italy ❤
@@ItalybyItalians avrai tu l’universo, resto l’Italia à me. I studied in Perugia for one month and had a wonderful time. I find Umbria hauntingly beautiful and laced with fascinating history and architectural edifices. The juxtaposition and interpénétration between the surrounding landscapes and the town of Perugia is unique: each embellishes the other. The people were wonderful, the food, the classes and the many monuments the city contains. I am an American who lives in Switzerland and lived three minutes from la via della pergola…that was years before a certain Amanda Knox brought disrepute to certain exchange students with her ‘ Jersey shore’ behaviours and possibly worse. I went to perigua to learn Italian and soak up history and culture any every day brought new exiting discoveries. I felt some form of mystical magic in Perugia ; perhaps a Etruscan or medieval legacy.
@@ItalybyItalians I go back often even though I have a house in France...as Giuseppe said there is something exceptional about Italy.....this summer I will be in Brindisi. Any suggestions?
Hi, I'm just a girl who likes travelling, I'm no expert of the real estate market! I can only tell you that Assisi is a cute town with many religious tourists.
Hey Dominic, that's a tough question. It's difficult to choose a favourite place from so many gorgeous sites. But I can tell you that, as I'm a history enthusiast, I always say to start discovering Italy with Rome and all the ancient history. However that's quite personal and subjective, probably a person who enjoys nature and doesn't particularly like history would prefer to visit other parts of Italy 😊 What kind of traveller are you?
@@ItalybyItalians Very good. Bought lots of Perugiana chocolates and wine was great too. Did not get to see the city center but will be back again this year and go for some sight seeing .
