This is an awesome channel. Since discovering it few hours ago, I've watched 3 episodes and learnt so much. Thank you for taking the initiative, and creating opportunity for entrepreneurs to share their stories. This for me is a Business School in a nutshell. God Bless you much more abundantly
Just imagine how many of us would move back to Nigeria to do business if power supply and security issues are resolved. Nigeria Government needs to wake up.Welldone Brothers❤❤
Not the usual stuff out there. Very informative and loads of nuggets to pick from the convo. Thank you Wale for doing this and can’t wait to hear your own journey of doing business in Nigeria. 👏🏾
The statement he made at 10:04 resonates with me. Sometimes it’s too late to give up. I started trading 1 years ago. I’ve lost about 40,000usd in total. I’m sure most of you can already approximate the equivalent in naira. Now I’m back to working a job after going broke. But my plan is to save up a little and continue trying. I can’t invest soo much hours , pain, sacrifice and money just to turn around like that. 40kusd has been invested only to turn around and say I can’t continue? No way. I have to keep trying. The most difficult part of it now is my struggle to gain consistency. By Gods grace someday we will gain it.
you will be great brother . but if you mean forex trading . i don't consider that generational wealth creation . maybe you should channel you energy to real business . not this schemes . if you channels your 40k $ in solving a problem in Nigeria . i'm sure by now you would have been miles ahead .
It's not easy being an entrepreneur in Nigeria today. It's amazing to see two business giants sharing this insightful thought Lovely Point I picked out "20:55" "What is the worst that could happen, that's you dying" Being so afraid of running a business in Nigeria holds a lot of us back but to be honest not doing anything is worse than dying. My strong pick is always "give it a shot, and don't hold back".
Uncle Waleeee... forgive my manners, sir.😁😆 Oh thank you sir for this insightful piece... I really hardly see the walk through of lighting business... and this is very good dissect of the entrepreneurial industry in Nigeria, especially in such a time. And it's inspiring too. Thank you very much for this content sir.
Thank you so Mr Wale, your approach is quite different from the random interview we see here often. The indepth of your questions, just really everything is just so good. You really asked the kinda question that answers some questions we have no answers to as entrepreneur yet, maybe because you are part of the whole journey and one who has gone through the ups and downs to getting to where you are now. Thank you for doing this. Looking forward to more of this eye opening interviews.
Sir why do you always ask why Nigeria? Why not Nigeria??? They are just trying to improve Nigeria economy. With time Nigeria will get to the promised land kudos! Stand strong bro 🙏🏽
One of the biggest Lighting Companies in Nigeria you claimed. I would like to see the comparison with other lighting companies in the country though. Thank you, sir.

Are you manufacturing them in Nigeria or you export? I wouldve loved to see this in his factory. Sounds like importing to me, that's why the talk on forex.
This is a fantastic NGRN youth Entrepreneurial story. Great applause to you and well done. But please cut out the "I mean", "Bro" imported nonsense which are distractions.
@onlyway2moon That's what we all wish for , unfortunately an environment without stable power supply and price of LNG petrol diesel growing uncontrollably how will you sell your manufactured product at a reasonable price to make profit and stay in business.
I actually thought he assembles them in Nigeria, he’s importing finished products these are regular lighting in Guzhen,Zhongshan China. Importers need to learn how to assemble or rather manufacture in Nigeria lighting isn’t rocket science.
Very misleading title. The host said if you can survive doing business in Nigeria, you can do it anywhere = total BS. In. Nigeria, we cut so many corners and basically little to no regulation or accountability.
That Question why Nigeria yes this lighten is a common thing in others country and the reason why is like new in Nigeria is because Nigeria rich keep Nigeria down not to developed just imagine big country as Nigerian sinc 1960 still haven't electricity even Nigerians rich are demons
what kind of english is this? lack of electricity is due to lack of investment in electricity during the military era, and complication from demand in population
@@chiefs5822it's a strategic and foreign agenda fueled with corruption. 60+ years that's deliberate. At the very least we should have a couple major cities eg Lagos/Abuja with 24/7 electric 75-95% of time. Lack of electricity keeps us import dependent.

There are just too many importers of products and not so many manufacturers. Nigeria is a consumption country that is just sad.
Exactly! The focus needs to be on local producers and not importers !
