Great lesson Justin. So much to get from this. It's the little things and quite honestly the simple things that catch the ear. Love what you're doing with the Channel. I am a fan

This track sounds so cool, let us know when/if it comes out so we can hear the full production. Watching you work is so inspiring, but at the same time depressing AF. :-) You're such a great player and so creative. I would love to see more videos like this, thanks again for the content.

I think you nailed the slide part. Hopefully the Producer likes it. The tone you got for the slide is perfect! The amp sounds really good.

Not sure what is tastier...the tone or the playing. Both are inspiring!

Hard to tell how the parts fit without the song, but I like the parts you share. It's cool how he gives you the idea and you make it sing.

You are so dang good. Right up there with Dann Huff and Brent Mason IMHO. Your playing on that tine gives me "Running On Empty" vibes.

Wow! Your tone at 10:13. That tone and what you're playing combined is just so thick but still articulate. Can you share how you're getting that glorious overdrive sound? What "fuzzy" overdrive is that? and I'm hearing some tasty reverb, what is creating that? Also how much do you think the P90s are contributing to that sound? I've been debating switching the stock humbuckers in my Epiphone Dot to P90s.

Hey Justin! When he asks you to sprinkle a melodic idea (that little sus thing) throughout the song, wouldn't you want to hear what the vocal melody is so you know where and what to play? If you don't know that, how do you where what you're playing will fit? Do you figure that he'll just movie it around in ProTools if he needs to?

I’ve listened to it enough that I’m playing the vocal in my mind while tracking 🤠

@@JustinOstrander Gotcha! We never hear the vocal in your video, so I was thinking "How does he know if that works?" Haha!

I really like the way you show this stuff happening albeit in a home studio scenario. Doing this work this way seems way more desirable to do but I'm sure you had to put in years of work to get to the point you are at now. Like Tim Pierce without the "cockpit" of gear, which is cool and I like Tim's videos as well.
Thanks for the look at your work day!
