Hopefully you figure out the clicking noise can’t wait to see what you find in there hopefully nothing major though. Nice vid. Vekta runs a center spool not a diff inside that tranny a gear may be stripping or perhaps a small pebble got in there and is getting jammed up in the gear. I would say maybe a shot bearing but it's new so I highly doubt that. Best thing to do is take it apart and investigate. Good thing is vekta is super simple and easy to wrench on.

Solid axles definitely take getting used to when compared to independent but once you get the handling down they are freakishly fun and will drift for days.
I was never a big fan of solid axle RC's but in the last several years they are starting to really impress me, This truck looks very planted with the solid axle in the rear and independent suspension in the front seems to work very well, kinda reminds me of the UDR on steroids lol 😁

That "Clicking" sounds exactly like my Axial Yet XL. The suspension on full compression smacks the swaybar. Annoying AF but you can't "Tune" it out. Is what it is, just have to get used to it.

its the ring gear. causing the issue. mine is the front on a gasser. the ring gear is not flat, it warped and im still lookin for a new one. good luck. i greased it up with some good stuff and have not run it yet.
Had a similar issue with my Kraken vekta 5 . Had to upgrade to a vertigo transmission . Hopefully nothing serious with your kraken 5E Ultra . The buggy looks great and fast . I’ll wait until they get all the kinks out and vertigo makes a transmission for it . Enjoy .
The transmission is super strong CNC’ed out of billet aluminum unlike the VEKTA V1. Most likely the metal powder pinion gear breaking a tooth. We threw in there for testing on this prototype but we will swap it out to a hardened one for the production units.
Looks like a easy 80mph rig. Wow. Really looking forward to picking one up. Gear it up and tear the hell out of it so they can find the weak points and fix for all of us!!! But keep it looking pretty hahaha tough ask

Check the brake disk, it binds and slams the drivetrain. I changed to rcr brakes, it stoppad after that. The lower part of the disk lean backwards on acceleration and jams everything😅 U can also put a brake disk guide on there so it stays in the right angle.
This is the brushless electric one and there’s no brake discs. It’s the powdered pinion gear broken tooth we think. We’d install a hardened steel one for production units. Thunder has the first running prototype.
Quick question for you thunder on the gas vesla you put a 30degree north 36 in it at first did you have to mod it in any way or is it a straight drop in hope to here from you soon luv the bad lands on that vecta 5 keep bringing the vids I really look forward to them
Beautiful rig! It definitely hits top speed too quickly, so adding a tooth or two will open it up. The rear end kind of hops around a bit - is that normal for solid axle rigs? Or maybe stiff springs? LOVE IT!

Its the brake rotor getting stuck off axis on the drive shaft and binding the brakes. Kraken has a fix kit, my KV5TT did the same thing

It was the 38 CC, and O did have to cut the rear bumper cage a little bit to make it fit but that is it 😱💪💪🚀⚡️🔥

Progressive springs might help with that. It helped with my K8S. But now I'm ready to graduate to 12S!!!!
