Thank you Alex... Additionally... For such projects, always include for theviewers more details such as the monthly maintainance fees, availability and speed of the internet connection, etc
Not all that glitters is gold. The advantage Kenyans living abroad have over us locals is the exchange rater. For $1 right now you get 112/-. More for the £ and the €. I was tempted to buy but I now plan to get a plot n build. Cheaper n better quality finishes, to my taste.
Alex I love your show it enlightens on ideas for various places and house architectural design ,I would love to add on this one major issue could you please as you do this show talk on nature especially the trees atleast the planners should leave space for trees in the estates it's very important, and to maintain the natural environment in Africa, let's not just build everywhere atleast after every house a tree always good for environment and beautiful scenery
Ok, I think they are quoting in Kenyan Shillings money. If so, the prices in dollars are less than $200,000. But no mortgages. So you will have to pay "ALL" of the money in a matter of months. So these homes are only for the rich . People who have at Least $500,000 dollars in the bank. Because after you buy the house, you most likely will not be working and so you will have to have money to live on. It's for people who want to retire.
*Do not fall for the allure* - with 5 million shillings you can buy a plot somewhere in upcountry close to e.g a major town and build a *safe home to your tastes in design, security and comfort criteria* .
I'd still put picket fences for privacy. I would MOST definitely put a pool! You need to offer investors that option. It is in the coast,it is hot! Being near an airport /airstrip is NOT exactly a good thing. Aeroplanes are noisy and polluting. Mjussayin
I am in diaspora, I appreciate the work they have put in this but I would rather buy from Kenyan developers or African coz after trying so hard between taxes and paying Bill's abroad the small money I have left I want that to have atleast impact our community back home. But this companies will take that money way back to where it came from. Look deeper, not everything offered is as good as it seems , why should you pay 12.9M for a 2 bedroom house... No way!!!
Why are most houses in Kenya now being built with atleast 50% glass instead of stone walls with security not so good. Is it a cheaper way of builders saving cost on glass than walls, then charge the buyers way too high for a glass house?
Relationships make vibrant communities. These gated communities are contrary to that, creating defacto classism and no community can thrive from this. Good luck to all these foreigners

Enough with the gated communities - we need modern cities with beautiful parks and nice wide streets for pedestrians and limited cars.
But brother living with poor and uncivilised is very challenging.....😊😊😊, That is why we need to be gated.....😁😁😁

Thanks Chams media. You're doing a good job keeping us informed.
I want to go to this place called the diaspora. I admire living in such places and I don't think I'd afford this while living in the 254

I sympathized with tenants from the Green park gated community three years ago. Thank God the courts overturned the decision concerning riparian land.
They are beautiful and so relaxing

I think they're talking to diaspora people because of the nature of the show. Property Show etc. focus on local Kenyans.
