They will try everything under the sun except look at 6v6 again. Off-tank needs to return. Every half season is a wildly different game than before. I'm sick of learning how to play each hero every couple months again and again.

Roadhog (0/0) - no difference Sigma (-1) - one less 2-rounded attack Winston/Zarya - ignores armor so big for them So as we can see, for the most part, it is not LESS VIABLE to shoot the tank as the tank - with a few exceptions. However, when it comes to DPS, that's when we see an interesting result. As for what I can tell, it appears that body shots require less bullets, ranging for 1-3, while headshots requires more bullets to kill, ranging from 1-3. While that may seem like nothing to some like Cass and Widow (who lost nothing as it was the same across), heroes like Ashe and Hanzo might want to do more body shots as the gap is far more closer than before. This is a Hanzo nerf and he's now sat in a waiting room with Sym as one of the worst characters in the game. Above the metal ranks, dragon is a zoning tool. It's not the best ult by any means, but it is valuable to zone a player off from their team (and obscure visibility) for a few precious seconds. Dragon can win team fights because of this quality. Now the OW2 team have increased the speed of dragon 25%, that means there's 25% less time to capitalize on zoned off characters. Follow this logic through: in many situations that means at least 25% LESS damage. No one above metal rank is going to get surprised by a faster dragon and die to it - so this is a nerf.
The point was pretending some big changes when in reality they have zero idea what to do, and thus change all the numbers to sell it as a 'massive update' while the game is as broke as always.
And as long as sombra hack that require no aim on a 6 sec cd is still in the game no QoL change will change that. We will have a sombra in 95% matches. A low skill ability can destroy Ball mobility that require skill without any counterplay is dumb. Her ult is ok but that hack need to be rework asap not just for Ball.

It’s so confusing that they won’t give junkrat and hanzo their one shots back but widow and roadhog have theirs. Pick one either keep all one shots in the game or take them all out.
My guess is because of the amount of Burst Damage Hanzo can do without hitting crits. Personally if Hanzo was to gain One Shots back he'd need to lose storm arrows in response because simply being able to bring a tank down so low with only body shots in a short time frame in comparison to Widow/Hog only being able to deal X amount of damage in a short time frame with a Headshot/Utility Usage before having to wait for their shot to charge back up/animation to finish is what sets them apart.
Yeah, but in a game where a large man can survive a bomb by vaping, a woman barely tethered to time can rewind her existence a couple seconds, and a magic fox spirit can make everyone your team faster and recover more quickly for a few seconds, I don't think 8t would be out of the realm of possibility to need two headshots to eliminate most people. They're never going to "fix" wide grouping for lower ranks, are they? It's absurd that they cut the allowed grouping restrictions in half. No ranks that could play together in Season 9 or before should be considered a wide group now.
Blizzard, please just give us back the 2 tap on rat. If you got the 2 tap with a mine you either got into position to get a 2 tap while saving one of your mines or survived after flanking for long enough to get a mine back. Along with that, if you 2 tapped you got close enough for the one shot without dying. With all of that in consideration, if you consistently got the one shot, you were good enough to earn them. This was flankrat’s best and favorite toy, and taking it away only punishes people for the more interesting and skillful method of playing junkrat, which forces them to play spamrat.
Honestly I don't mind it either way, I've gotten used to it and kill most people with follow ups and airshots. I personally wouldn't mind bringing back the mine combo, just buffing mines damage and leaving primary at 3 shots so it's less spam rat,obviousoy just make sure the max damage is close to the center so you aren't chucking nukes into the enemy team and it rewards precise mine throws.
they want scavenger players instead of an aggressive playstyle to just stand around and spam 125 damage... man this sucks just give me one shot damn there are literally 4 characters in the game who can complain about combo, tracer, sombra, Genji, possibly Ventura. yes the combo is simple but it requires a condition, most characters are long/medium range fighters.

Junkrats 2 shot combo by its nature needs 2 shots. All the other cqc combos need more than 2 shots or a longer time to do. Those extra shots mean theres more counterplay and requires more skill the get the oneshot value.
For me playing McCree isn’t the same anymore. You have to hit so many shots just to get one kill you have the same amount of bullets in the gun though bring back his stun

When it's shown that this patch has failed the tank role I wonder what the devs are gonna do. Will they still choose to be stubborn and rework tanks overall or will they finally admit 6v6 has been the better option overall that would have saved them 2 years of headaches on trying to figure out how the tank role works
Every major change since OW1 (and even some changes made in OW1) has pushed OW to look more and more like paladins. I think the only way to make 5v5 work is to remove role limits and some obvious needed changes after role limit is removed.
I still don't understand the point in giving tanks faster health regeneration if it still takes 5 seconds before it engages. Tanks don't go 5 seconds without being hit.
Most Hanzo mains have been begging for the smaller arrows and 1shot back, but instead they nerf his ult... which was already one of the worst in the game?? Tanks needs not hard counter tanks. I don't know if need a "tank resistance to tanks", but is almost it. In dps class have some rock, paper and scissors but much less.

Buffing all balls abilities? Any chance they could do something to make him more punishable? He throws himself into your back line over and over and either gets a kill, or gets hurt a little and just rolls away to fast to chase. and even if the whole team turned around to shoot at him (which you cant really do anyway), he can still shield up and roll away. you need like a cassidy hinder then a junkrat trap followed by a rein pin. AND HE STILL MIGHT GET AWAY. maddening, makes me want old Sombra back, where you get hacked and stay hacked for 3-4 seconds =T
As a ball player, I hate these massive ball buffs. I dont want his numbers buffed, they need to fundamentally change how he plays. The number buffs only make it so that the enemy team locks mauga sombra cass and makes the game unplayable

I personally wouldn't mind bringing back the mine combo, just buffing mines damage and leaving primary at 3 shots so it's less spam rat,obviousoy just make sure the max damage is close to the center so you aren't chucking nukes into the enemy team and it rewards precise mine throws.
they want scavenger players instead of an aggressive playstyle to just stand around and spam 125 damage... man this sucks just give me one shot damn there are literally 4 characters in the game who can complain about combo, tracer, sombra, Genji, possibly Ventura.
yes the combo is simple but it requires a condition, most characters are long/medium range fighters.

Junkrats 2 shot combo by its nature needs 2 shots. All the other cqc combos need more than 2 shots or a longer time to do. Those extra shots mean theres more counterplay and requires more skill the get the oneshot value.
For me playing McCree isn’t the same anymore. You have to hit so many shots just to get one kill you have the same amount of bullets in the gun though bring back his stun
I like a lot of the changes, but I strongly dislike the sigma gravitic flux change. I feel like line of sight is counterplay through positioning.

@@naw613 not only does it hurt his area denial but the damage output as well since it’ll be in the area for a shorter amount of time. This might surprise people for a few days but then people will get used to it and move out of the way quicker
@@naw613it literally reduces the damage you can deal because it goes away quicker, and again the ultimate is better as a zoning tool, they are nerfing the only good thing about it.
This is supposed to be a buff, at best it's a change and in reality it's a nerf.
They unironicallly should have made it slower, or wider if they wanted it do more damage, but they insistent on doing the worst possible decisions for this character it's crazy

When it's shown that this patch has failed the tank role I wonder what the devs are gonna do. Will they still choose to be stubborn and rework tanks overall or will they finally admit 6v6 has been the better option overall that would have saved them 2 years of headaches on trying to figure out how the tank role works

Every major change since OW1 (and even some changes made in OW1) has pushed OW to look more and more like paladins. I think the only way to make 5v5 work is to remove role limits and some obvious needed changes after role limit is removed.
I still don't understand the point in giving tanks faster health regeneration if it still takes 5 seconds before it engages. Tanks don't go 5 seconds without being hit.

They may be buffed against hitscan/projectiles with low damage per pellet, but burst damage is now better against tanks.

Tanks needs not hard counter tanks. I don't know if need a "tank resistance to tanks", but is almost it. In dps class have some rock, paper and scissors but much less.
i feel like these changes could have been made two seasons ago and we would still be where we are at today. changes feel either too insignificant to make a difference or too softened to create the illusion of change.

Any chance they could do something to make him more punishable? He throws himself into your back line over and over and either gets a kill, or gets hurt a little and just rolls away to fast to chase. and even if the whole team turned around to shoot at him (which you cant really do anyway), he can still shield up and roll away. you need like a cassidy hinder then a junkrat trap followed by a rein pin. AND HE STILL MIGHT GET AWAY. maddening, makes me want old Sombra back, where you get hacked and stay hacked for 3-4 seconds =T
Eh, you take away cc, you take away a balance lever. Mobility gets limited because there's no cc to keep it in check. It's actually limiting
As a ball player, I hate these massive ball buffs. I dont want his numbers buffed, they need to fundamentally change how he plays. The number buffs only make it so that the enemy team locks mauga sombra cass and makes the game unplayable

Should just go back to 6v6. I feel like the only players against it are people who climbed the ranks who probably shouldnt have. With two tanks being a braindead heal bot isnt valuable and dps would actual have to think before engaging. Cant upset the majority though, its bad for business.
