in today's video, I will be unboxing the new iPad air 5th gen. This video is for entertainment purposes only. I am very thankful for what I purchased and I wanted to share this experience with you all. I bought the 64gb wifi only in space grey. Mainly bc I use this for school and I wanted it to match with my phone (which is graphite).
update i highly doubt anyone actually reads this, but i returned the iPad :( my laptop broke down rlly bad and i couldn't do any editing or schoolwork. so i returned the iPad and used that money to buy my current laptop. pls understand that I'M BROKE af, 😭 and i needed a new laptop more than my iPad. so yea, love y'all and thank you so much for watching my content!🤍💕

I love your study videos, I have been saving up to get my first ipad. An I’m stuck between the ipad 10th gen an the ipad air. I’m gonna be a 3rd year college student in August when face to face classes start back. Which one do you think I should get?
i suggest getting the ipad air. but you should take into account everything you’d be doing with your ipad. if you plan on using strictly for school, you may want the 10th gen. i actually returned the air and got the pro bc i edit on my ipad as well as do school. so it rlly depends on your lifestyle and your workload

They have an option for 256gb if that works for you😊 I don’t keep files on my iPad. I mainly use it for notes and to make my thumbnails. I end up airdropping my files to my laptop.

Unfortunately, it doesn’t🥲 I’m not sure if it’s the apps that I use that drains its battery, but I have to charge it twice a day. Which isn’t terrible, but if I decide to leave and study at a cafe I have to bring the charger or a battery pack bc ik it’ll die on me.😭

@@joh6830 I think you should wait if you can. The iPad air just released and we might not get another until next year March/April. Once the 10th gen drops, you can compare the features (especially battery life) and make your decision then.

Hi! I didn’t have an issue with the iPad. The iPad did what I needed it to and I thought it was a great investment. My laptop that I use for school and to edit broke down a few days after. So I returned the iPad and used the money from that to get a better laptop.
Again, I had no issues with the iPad and there were no limitations w/ it that caused me to return it. My old laptop broke down on me and I prioritized that over the iPad😁

The iPad Air 4 and 5 have the same exact dimensions (height: 247,6 mm; weight: 178,5 mm; thickness: 6,1 mm; I verified them on Apple’s site to be sure). If the first cover didn’t fit, it likely was for the base iPad model or for the Pro 11” - which are even wronger sizes. LOL

That’s weird your iPad Air 4 case didn’t fit! I use an iPad Air 4 case on mine, and also looked it up and it says you can use an iPad Air 4 (2020) case with the new iPad Air 5 (2022)
Exactly! I thought for sure it would fit bc it’s the same size, the buttons are all on the same side, etc. It really didn’t make sense!
Also, someone else commented the same thing saying that I must’ve gotten the wrong size case. Either way, I returned it immediately.

I bought the 64gb bc I only take notes on my iPad and I can just airdrop my files on my laptop. But if you think you’ll be downloading a lot of files w/o transferring anything to a different device, I’d go with the 256gb.
I really just use my iPad for convenience, but once I get home I transfer everything to my laptop.

How much storage did you use out of 64gb?
I ended up returning this and getting the pro with 128 gb. Even so, I only use 33.8 gb and I download a lot of videos, notes, pictures, etc

Actually i am just watching videos for ppl unboxing new ipad so i be ready to buy one , i am not sure i just need it for college and i have mac book but it’s too heavy to carry on around in my uni so, do u ppl advise me to buy one ??
It really just depends on your workload. For example, I'm taking a lot of content-heavy courses requiring note-taking and research. I'd use the iPad as a second screen on the go and take notes during my evening class (as opposed to bringing my laptop which is a little heavy). I wouldn't go all out and buy the most storage if you have an external hard drive for school and your MacBook. You can just airdrop notes and files into there to save space. Hope this helped! 🤍💕

It definitely can be! But I don’t keep files on my iPad. I transfer everything to my laptop or external hard drive.
I do recommend getting one with more storage as you can’t upgrade once you have the device.😁

I no longer have the ipad air as I changed to an ipad pro, but i would go for the higher gb for sure. in the past i thought 64 was great but not everyone will want to transfer files to their laptop to save space. so get the 256gb.
I don't know why but the space grey color is so underrated, every unboxing I see is for purple or starlight but to be honest I think this one is the best, Im going to buy myself an iPad and this is the color im choosing

What apps are good for school for the iPad ?
So at the 13:45 mark, I give you my favorite apps to use for school. I like blackboard bc it's the learning platform my school uses. I also used GoodNotes5 for digital notes, zlibrary for pdf versions of my textbooks, and I would say quizlet but we have to pay now 🤷🏽♀️
A list of other apps include notion, groupme (my classmates use that to share info about the course or what's happening on campus), google docs, google drive, google slides, figma, papago (translator app), brainscape flashcards, flora (productivity timer), and owaves (scheduling app that made it easy to visualize my day).

iPad Air 5 and iPad Air 4 have exactly the same dimensions. They are both 247.6mm*178.5mm*6.1mm. Your case may have been defective.

Sorry to say this, but the Ipad Air 4 and 5 are the same size and if that case was for the iPad Air 4 it should have still fit your iPad. it might have been for the iPad 4 and not the iPad Air 4, which might have been why you got confused.

The battery life is superb, the landscape camera is a winner for me, the shape is suitable for my carrying case. As part of my purchase, I threw in a case from ESR, and a Logitech Crayon to compliment my purchase. So far so good on my iPad. The Logitech Crayon works perfectly with it as well.
