Little late. Personally I believe Landon Ricketts is the best option considering his life is a Red Dead Redemption story, a man of great stature and fame who kills outlaws and later he'd be reduced to a nobody, a poor mans messiah in his words. You never hear from him again after 1 and you never see him die, id love to see his life and how he could mentor Jack Marston, and after Landon dies finally helping something you could see how Jack throws it all away, but the Epilogue could be Jacks final redemption into becoming a good man (and a more interesting character)
@@DrixPunk it would kinda take away from the mystery of the legend though, which is why I don't think Rockstar would make that game but i don't doubt that if they did make that game, it would be really good
@Navajas See the problem with that as well, *_is I'm not sure even Rockstar has a full grip on Landon Ricketts' Legend either._* Like they told us in RDR1 how the biggest contributions to his myth, is his part in The Blackwater Massacre. It's even strongly suggested that his failure to stop The Van Der Linde Gang is what leads to his *_"fall from grace"_* and eventual self-imposed exile to Chuparosa. *And then RDR2 takes place immediately after The Massacre and never makes one mention about him outside of a Cigarette Card.* I personally feel a Red Dead 3 about Landon could be something we didn't know we wanted. Just like a Red Dead 2 about The Fall of The Van Der Linde Gang. Cuz I remember many people thinking a Red Dead 2 about that would ruin the mystery of why John and The Gang fell out with each other. Myself included. And while there are a few retcons and confusions now that Red Dead 2 exists, I'll still argue that Red Dead 1 is made even better by its existence
I have a feeling we may get to play as one of the characters that died during the black water events, we know that blackwater happened in 1899 so if we start the game in 1895 there's a TON of content and story that's able to be retold, also am I the only one who thinks the gang was at its strongest when Micah wasn't in camp? Like obviously the mission where you try to get jack back the whole gang rides and looks strong as hell but when Micah wasn't in dutch's ear and the 3 heads were Hosea Dutch and Arthur I think the gang had much better chances of surviving and it seemed like their plans worked more often as well, as soon as Micah started getting influence the gang was in shambles
Playing as one of the gunslingers in rdr3 would be amazing
Just make it in the Old wild West time and we are all in
