Eric, thank you for all the time you put into these videos, we know it is a lot of work and your dedication is admirable.
We live in Northlake, TX which is just north of the Texas Motor Speedway which is north of Fort Worth.
After a very wet and cool spring, the script was flipped on us and we went back to a typical hot/dry summer for North Texas. We were very spoiled this spring.
Since then, we have the infamous heat bubble/dome over DFW caused by all the concrete and lack of vegetation within the metro that often during the summer it keeps storms from moving into the area or from forming directly over us and the temps hardly drop below 90 at night.
Though it looks like Dallas is doing pretty good when you show the drought monitoring maps. I can’t help to think there must have been a storm over the actual rain gauge they use to report our precipitation levels because it has been hot and dry since May for most of us.
Overall, especially Fort Worth west, we have barely received any measurable rain the last couple months except for 1 storm that finally held together as it moved over us about a month ago. Unfortunately it went right back to hot and dry the very next day and hasn't rained since.
Everything has gone from beautiful green to brown grass, stressed trees, huge ankle-breaking cracks in the soil and low water levels in our rivers, pounds and creeks. Fortunately, our lakes are doing pretty good from the heavy rains we received this spring but since then it has felt like a sauna.
Again this is north Texas and this is how our summers usually are, but it doesn't mean we like it! It's miserable just to walk to our car and when you open the oven, I mean car door and get in, it takes 10 minutes of driving until the car finally cools from the AC. Even our pool is hot and uncomfortable. We hide inside during the day to realize at night it feels almost the same as the day, but just with no sun.
So when you do the 5-10 day and beyond forecasts, we are always looking for a front to finally make it down to us or for something to come up from the gulf and bring us rain and clouds. We are hoping Mother Nature will send us something-a nice soaker and some cooler temps would be amazing!
So, we are curious if you have heard of the heat dome over DFW and have any thoughts on it. It can't be a myth because we have seen storm after storm, even snow just disappear as it approaches us.
Anyways, thank you again for these videos!

We got 1.78 inches here in Milwaukee last night! All within a span of 1 hour. 1.5 of that fell in less than 30 minutes. We also had the craziest lightning I have ever seen too! ⛈️

After a wet May and June, it’s been getting dry in the central UP. The last rain was July 23.

Appreciate all of your weather expertise, technical question any reason why 360p uploads, I know this is not 4k content but 360p leave the data a bit fuzzy. Thanks

Give UA-cam a few minutes to process the upload and the stream quality will improve. In this case, the early bird doesn't get the worm.

I record it at 1080p, but it seems to take UA-cam a bit of time to processes the higher resolution.

It's been among the wettest and stormiest years I can ever remember for the Western and Upper Great Lakes region, going back to the 1970's. Truely miserable and relentless. We just concluded the only two weeks of dryish weather since February. That's it. Now back to rain and storms. Maybe 2025 will be better...after what's expected to be another brutally cold and snowier than normal "polar vortex" La Nina Winter, the 4th in 5 years. Even our once dry Falls have gotten rainier and stormier. Climate change sucks around here. No wonder everybody that can move South or West does.

Send it south! It’s hard to believe people actually complain about rain. Without it, everything dies. I’ll never, ever complain about too much rain.

Hmmm . . . on the drought monitor image. gray means no change so what does white mean? White is not in the legend. @5:27

No body has a clue how dry reno county Ks is. We have been in a extreme drought for three years. The local and national weather forecast accuracy has been pathetic!! I'm out!!
