What's fascinating about this video is how cheerful these people are after getting shocked. It is very impressive. In many parts of the world this would illicit extremely strong negative reactions but they take it in stride. Something is very right in that part of the world. You see, these kind of movies rely in that you believe in the supernatural already in order to work, I dont believe, so i dont get scared from the get go, they have to earn my scare. How? Good question, a faceless, invisible non existant threat does not, cannot do it. People like me just expose the fact that these movies are lazy writing. You are already scared when you entered the movie theater because you already fear the supernatural. They dont have to do a thing, just crank up the suspense music and then do a jump scare. Thats the formula. Lazy, boring, predictable and cliche. Not saying i dont scared by movies, but an invisible "threat" lol, no. Make them summon a "real" demon or entity (or among the lines) which is chasing the characters around to dismember them, add some good sfx or practical effects, a decent plot, and they are golden. I mean, i can do suspension of disbelief for the sake of the plot, but i cant go full retard (no offense). And as Kirk Lazarus said "you never go full retard". Any zombie movie, as bad as some are, fare better than any movie about the supernatural. At least they actually try to scare you. They have do do a believable "bad guy/monster/demon", they have to do the gore, the practical effects, camera angles, etc, they have to work for it , with the supernatural ones, they get the shot of the face of somebody, crank the volume up, change the facial expression, buuu. Come on dude. Have some respect for yourself. And a tip. When the movies about the supernatural say that they are based on real events, those are the shittiest ones.
@@Alientcp Excellent breakdown, but all I know is it doesn't matter how practical or robotic you are, u still a human, and it's the adrenaline rush that gives a sense of thrill or fear in you, even if you believe in matrix world and believe everything is simulated, you'll still be scared if a tiger or lion comes suddenly in front of you, and it's just a bunch of chemical reactions in ya body that nobody can resist irrespective of their beliefs, similarly believing in supernatural things or not isn't the solution to not feel thrilled or scared, overcoming the chemical reactions in your body is next to impossible unless you are a some divine yogi or spiritual being as they claim to control reactions within them or something. I got ur perspective towards these kinda film making though, pretty much easy to thrill or scare people, but most of us pay to feel thrilled in the theatre and not to analyse what's happening in the music behind and etc. For me, I generally avoid such things as when I'm being theist, I'm believing in something that has no proof, similar in case of being an atheist too, there's no proof that such things "aren't" there. Make them summon a "real" demon or entity (or among the lines) which is chasing the characters around to dismember them, add some good sfx or practical effects, a decent plot, and they are golden.

Any zombie movie, as bad as some are, fare better than any movie about the supernatural. At least they actually try to scare you. They have do do a believable "bad guy/monster/demon", they have to do the gore, the practical effects, camera angles, etc, they have to work for it , with the supernatural ones, they get the shot of the face of somebody, crank the volume up, change the facial expression, buuu. Come on dude. Have some respect for yourself.
And a tip. When the movies about the supernatural say that they are based on real events, those are the shittiest ones.
@@Alientcp Excellent breakdown, but all I know is it doesn't matter how practical or robotic you are, u still a human, and it's the adrenaline rush that gives a sense of thrill or fear in you, even if you believe in matrix world and believe everything is simulated, you'll still be scared if a tiger or lion comes suddenly in front of you, and it's just a bunch of chemical reactions in ya body that nobody can resist irrespective of their beliefs, similarly believing in supernatural things or not isn't the solution to not feel thrilled or scared, overcoming the chemical reactions in your body is next to impossible unless you are a some divine yogi or spiritual being as they claim to control reactions within them or something.
I got ur perspective towards these kinda film making though, pretty much easy to thrill or scare people, but most of us pay to feel thrilled in the theatre and not to analyse what's happening in the music behind and etc. For me, I generally avoid such things as when I'm being theist, I'm believing in something that has no proof, similar in case of being an atheist too, there's no proof that such things "aren't" there. And obviously my brain won't like to see a scary face joined with a loud music outta nowhere to generate immense adrenaline rush in me and term would be called as we "scared', and when you are working late night, the memory of the scenes jumps in the head and brain again starts giving the rush reckoning the memory of it, so why to be in a state of mind where you can't even go to the washroom for genuine peeing reasons instead of being scared and then having a pee lol.
