rekordbox 6 has a lighting control function if you connect a Pioneer DJ RB-DMX1 controller to your laptop. It analyzes the given track and automatically adjusts the lights to it. But it gives mediocre results, sometimes even tragic. Fortunately, there is an option to manually adjust the scenes for each song, and that's what I do. It is very time-consuming, but the effects, as you can see, are satisfactory.

Its a cool video but I think you would have had a bigger impact with the lights if the room was darker. You should have used a blackout curtain or sheet on the window. Way too much light from outside.

This is not an Proffesional Lightshow. The Controller is directly connected to the DJ Software and the Software makes this automaticly.
When you want to programm shows yourself i would recommend Dot2 with the Enttec Usb Dmx Controller.

I think you still need to program it in recordbox.
This DMX doing it that awesome automatically, I think no DJ needed a second person controlling the lighting during their sets ;)

@@EllHuron According to Pioneer its actually very automatic.
You can make some adjustments to.
But the downside is that you need to place the lights in a certain way.
This is probybly due to the fact that the software just puts together preprogrammed parts and syncs them to the beat.
I dont think that something like this would be suitable for bigger appications because with more fixtures it gets way more complicated.
