I watch the quest for camelot movie for first time in 1998 the year I turned eight years old (I was born in july 17th 1990 by the way) , I love this movie thats told within the legend of king arthur, this song is among one of my favorites, its a long time that I have not seen this awsome movie and heard its songs that are dear to my heart, now soon to turn 33 years old this july 2023 watch this movie and hearing its song brought so many wonderful memories of my 90s childhood

In my opinion, this song is not about being selfish. It' about creating your own world and experiencing all of it without the influence of others and taking great risk where no one goes.
the song is indeed not selfish, It is about self reliance when others choose to move you aside "i seen your world with these very eyes" & "i felt all the pain and heard all the lies" It is a freeing and depressing interpretation of life. He being blind shunned by normal society. He wants to be seen for more then he is. Today we all want to be seen and heard by society. But that is the beauty of this song it can mean so many things to different people as good music should.
Standing alone is the best way to be cause then you have no one to relay on but yourself. That way you don't get hurt

That was just like how nostalgia critic said it
Considering the movie was rushed to theaters it's actually very nicely done. The only reason it's got a lot of problems is due to being rushed and tight release scheduling. If you consider the fact that they made the movie in a 2 year time frame it's actually a master piece for what the people who made it had to work with.
I liked it as a kid.
It’s almost like the Inheritance/Eragon books. Not terribly original, but damn if it’s still not a good read.

Probably because it's not one of the best animated movies ever made. Like, not at all. To be fair, it's full of plotholes and kinda mediocre as a whole. But it's so enjoyable and funny and cute that we love it anyway; even if feeling a little guilty about it, cause we know that is not great movie and we're usually really picky and pedants about movies but we can't really stop us from watching it and listen to its amazing songs...

Man this song and film reminds me so much of my uncle, me and my family used to visit him when I was a child, and I'd always sit down and watch this film, took me years to find it when I grew up.

As sad as I get about being lonely, there are times that some activities are better when alone. Early morning hikes, night walks, long slow distance runs, and watching wildlife in the forest. Certain things like going on a run and getting to the cliff just at the peak of the sunset, walking at night in the fall and encountering a buck, watching eagles fly in a valley. It makes me feel more special, experiencing certain things alone.
