I still have my original vhs making it number 1 of my non Disney films but sadly it’s wearing out. Each time I play the screen gets fuzzier. This movie was the most popular of Vera Chapman’s trilogy she died just two years before it was made. She would have been 100 when it was released. The book unfortunately much sadder but still holds that glimmer of hope.

Y'know, if you wanted to make counterpoints about Arthur's court and politics etc you could have just...told me some things about his court and politics, and this could have been a pretty cool response and somewhat educational! But instead: this unpleasant interaction.

Splickedylit so I read through your replies and I totally understand where you are coming from. I’ll gladly share some information on Arthur’s court and how he ruled his kingdom.
Arthur believed that his kingdom should not be ruled by one man but by the people as a whole. So he divided the land among the knights of the round table to be governors of their respective lands. Basically forming a counsel to discuss future development and well being of the kingdom. Arthur would make the final decisions based on what the people needed as a whole. If one family suffered then he’d give them personal help. Such as giving them money or food as needed. He basically made sure that everyone under his rule had it equal. The only reason he was considered king is because of Excalibur and what it meant to wield it. As I’m sure you are aware only the true king can wield Excalibur. That meaning a king who doesn’t rule all on his own but with help from his people. One little thing you might not know is that it’s not exactly a fictional story in the traditional sense. King Arthur is very real to many people much like Jesus is to others. Many believers of the King believe that he will return with Excalibur and make the world peaceful and whole again.

United we stand, now and forever
    In truth, divided we fall
Hand upon hand, brother to brother
No one shall be greater than all
United we stand, now and forever
    In truth, divided we fall
Hand upon hand, brother to brother
No one shall be greater than all
It's been ten years we celebrate
All that made our kingdom great
    Liberty and justice for all
Each of us will now divide
    In equal shares our countryside
Promising equality for all who reside
United we stand, now and forever
    In truth, divided we fall
Hand upon hand, brother to brother
No one shall be greater than all
    Liberty, justice, trust
    Shall be greater than all
    Freedom, peace, honor
    No one greater than all
    Goodness, strength, valor
    Shall be greater than...

I remember I first saw this film back when I was around 11, it was not long after school broke up for Christmas and it was showing on Sky Movies. While the film was okay, the thing that really stood out for me was this song. I tried to find it on the internet but UA-cam wasn't a thing in those days, but it's good that I can listen to it whenever I like now. 11 year old me would be amazed.

+Tyler Peters You don't appreciate art in its purest form, do you? You just appreciate its outside value... If Broadway produces more music like this, then I can easily see a very bright future for it indeed. Problem is, you don't get many people who are able to grasp the full potential that certain music has to offer, such as this combination between Celtic chants, orchestral and rock.

Black Widow stands for Liberty, Falcon for Justice, the Winter Soldier for Trust, Captain America for freedom, Iron Man for Peace, Thor for Honor, Spider-Man for goodness, Hulk for strength, and finally, Hawkeye for valor.
