But because of an incident in the early 1960's on the team bus involving some of the directors they still held a grudge against him. The incident? when the team turned up to board the bus the directors and their wife's had taken all the front seats on the bus because they didn't fancy the drive to the game. Big Jack said to Revie if they don't get off this bus then I'm not playing. Harry Reynolds (the then chairman) made the other directors get off and one of those directors was Manny Cussins who was the chairman when Revie left and the man that wanted Clough.

Same applied to Norman Hunter, my friend met him in 1995 and he was nothing short of a gentleman, very humble and a true legend.
