CeraVe is getting SO EXPENSIVE! I’ve noticed aveeno was outrageous in my cvs and Walgreens too! The oat gel moisturizer was over $30😳

Hey it’s Lionel Richie!! He’s such a mensch- when we first moved to LA we were looking at literally the last apartment in the school district that we could afford. Lionel was looking to rent it too, for his gf, and they were all set to rent it to him instead of us for obvious reasons. Then my husband took him aside and said, “Look, this is our last option… please…”
Of course Lionel said to the agents, “Give the apartment to this family!” ❤

I gave up on Walgreens when they started locking up everything. I like to read labels & they've made it so damn impossible. Also, their policies about refusing to dispense certain medications with legal prescriptions to women of child-bearing age.
Its because thieves rip us off constantly. Its horrible. So locking stuff up is a must. None of our skincare is locked up here in my state so not sure where you live but even Wal Mart locks up a ton of stuff too now.

The vit c serum is cheaper at Target and Amazon. I think Walgreens is more expensive than just about every other store.

Agreed. Walmart tends to be the best for prices most of the time, but going directly to the product website can be surprisingly good at times……they may have coupons, etc.
a warm shower at night was the key to managing the menopausal transition. It reduced night sweats and hot flashes. Dr. Dray just explained why and how!

Bummer! I stocked up on southern canned veg at Piggly wiggly on a trip, but had to repack quickly & put them in my carry-on. They were considered liquids by tsa so had to go in the trash. I was heartbroken for the waste but the agents whispered that the cleaners go thru that trash & I had made good choices, so the veg wud be going to someone else's house & getting used! But, that happened 15 yrs ago & I m still bummed, so I freaking know your pain. Good thing you listen to a frugal skin expert tho! Imagine replacing from la mer and skkkkkkn lol

I love. love, love these store trips! When you mentioned the blurring products, I remembered buying a blurring powder from Making Cosmetics. It worked so much better than the tubes of blurring products I'd used before.

I had incredibly dry skin and the CeraVe renewing night cream saved me! I use it nightly. I try and buy it at Ulta when it goes on sale. I use points and coupons if possible too.
I’ve noticed that most night creams have niacinamide and peptides in them. I had been using the oil of Olay ultra rich cream ( the fragrance free one) for some time now but I recently realized that it’s pretty basic for a 30 dollar cream and I can find many many similar ones for cheaper. I’ve tried many lip masks because I have fuller lips that get dry very often. I found the Laniege one did absolutely nothing for me. Honestly lanolips lip balm made the best “overnight lip mask” for me.
I actually love that color of Neutrogena lip gloss (10) but it does look odd in the package. It's sheer but a nice subtle look and I just bought another tube this morning!

Its always interesting seeing how drugstore prices fluctuate between stores - in my experience, Walgreens and cvs are always more expensive than Walmart, target, and local grocery stores (like kroger/meijer in the midwest) that no7 line serum is only $30 at target rn (plus 20% off with circle) $11 cheaper than the Walgreens you're at!

No 7 is the house brand for Boots Chemist which is a chain of pharmacies/beauty products/London. It should NOT be that expensive, but havent checked recently. They also carry Bourgeois cosmetics which is made in the same facty as Chanel cosmetics. Obvious by the pommette style compressed powders. Bourgeois was briefly carried in some US dept store, but then they stopped.

In re: the hydroboost lipgloss “banana” color….it’s one the of tints that has faded! I found on that was one color on one side and a completely different color on the other side! Also I happen to have the same color in my purse for comparison.
Dr Dray can you please consider doing a video on the use of buffering agents and their importance they have on skin barrier integrity and stabilization of skincare products :)
I know she's talked about pH and cleansers. She's got a video, how to read skin care ingredients. She does list buffers in the description box.
I've tried the gradual milk sunless tanner. I like it just don't over do it. You'll see results with a couple hours.

I’ve used Bondi sands gradual tanning lotion, and I swear by them. I’m slathered in spf and sun protective clothing/shade all summer so it’s nice to start using around May each year! ☺️ there’s on in a big blue pump bottle in the UK that’s really nice and moisturising too!
Also yes Cerave is so expensive in UK now too! It’s insane. Cetaphil have great sales though so I just switched to them. Aveeno is quite affordable here though which is nice. They’ve launched a tinted broad spectrum spf too in the Calm and Restore line which is lovely!

I really like the Walgreen's salicylic acid, foaming, and regular cleansers. I avoid parabens, and although some Cerave products still have them, Walgreen's doesn't. And walgreens is cheaper and have buy one get one 50% off.

Dr dray, so if I used ferulic acid from the ordinary on top of the cerave vitamin c serum, would that help w vitamin c absorption or does it have to be formulated WITH the ferulic acid in it for it to work? Thanks

I'd be happy to find something that works as well as the CeraVe Skin Renewing Night Cream -- I've tried at least 10 other night/rich face creams, even much more expensive ones, and so far NOTHING performs like the CeraVe night cream!
