- Project Jezebel - 65 SWB C10. The first step in the build of my C10 called Jezebel. Starting from the ground up with the chassis. I'm stripping and updating an original 63 C10 SWB frame. This video deals with the front crossmember and compares the differences between the original front suspension and steering compared to the new Squarebody suspension and steering.
Great Video! It's been the only one that I've seen where both suspension differences have been described fairly well. Thanks!
I hoped that would be helpful to someone.
This is full of great info
Thank you! Glad it was useful.
Interesting.
Great video 👍
Thank You for the nice vid, pls keep at it.
Will do. And thank you!
very good choice on the frame , i always liked the rear trailing arm suspension as it does indeed provide a much smoother ride than leaf springs , but from what i have read online , the rear frame rail above the rear coil spring needs to be strengthened , it is a common fracture point , i do believe there is a company that does manufacture these plates , most definately a good choice for the air bag suspension conversion ,it is also a good idea to switch out the rotted A-ARM bushings for polyurethane
This is all new to me. I've been a squarebody guy all my life. So I'm learning as I go on the trailing arm suspension. I'll be doing a video on the rear suspension soon. Waiting on some parts right now.
The '60-'62 front frame-to-cab perches, are different from the '63-'66 front cab mounts.
