"Way back in 2012"? Jason, that only seems like yesterday 😆 Nice looking kit, as expected from ICM. Shame about the breakage. Good luck with the build. Cheers Bob 👍🍻
Nice looking kit Jason, , I find it easier to fix parts on the spure mate, shame though they weren't packed individually! Fire trucks are so cool, so much nicer than military vehicles 😊😊😊😊😊😊
Hi Jason, Great First Impression. I have been looking at this for a while now. I think Miniart is planning a model of the same subject. For right now it's listed as coming soon. The Miniart box art is dark green with black fenders. Thanks for sharing. Jeff
This German Mercedes fire truck seems to be a very interesting model. It will be great, to see how it will come out from your workbench, Jason. Greetings, Joachim
Search for pictures and further information about this Type of firefighting vehicle under "LLG Leichtes Löschgruppenfahrzeug" This Truck was used in varios colors from all Institutions like Wehrmacht. Luftwaffe, SHD, Feuerschutzpolizei, Feuerlöschpolizei, Luftschutz an so on. Colors tannengrün, sandfarben, panzergrau, luftwaffengrau and after WW2, in communal fireservice, first painted kirschrot (darker red) and later feuerwehrrot (RAL 3000). A special colorscheme was used in Berlin directly after capitulation. The Firetrucks there were left in the dark original colors like dark grey, dark green and so on and in the backside and the hauling were marked witch big, yellow circles to signalise, this is not a military combat vehicle. The portable fire Pump were transported in the Trailer, in the Truck was no Firepump installed. The Truck was also designed to be used as improvised Ambulance, when no regular Ambulance vehicles available. One strecher can be loaded, after removing of two Equipment-Boxes throu the backdoor and towed inside towards in the crew-room. The Crew "Löschgruppe" had 9 Crewmembers.
