- It's here; my first non-armored car kit in over 30 years. 1/35 and WWII era, so still in my lane. A new challenge. In this video there's a brief history, box opening, build part A, and a special thank you note.

Off to a great start John. I personally think the gloss black with chrome hubs option would look better myself. Using a second blade as a stop to keep from damaging the locator nub was a good idea, I will have to use that myself. I remember a episode of Top Gear were they briefly touched on this car when Mercedes came out with a 6 wheel drive car saying it was their first and the guys wondered why they didn't mention that this was really their first 6 wheel drive.

Hi,John!!!Wow!!! I built all three versions of the ICM Mercedes G4!!! The newest version is the G4 armed with a MG-34 Machine gun,which I painted dunkelgelb!!!A word of advice,replace the kit supplied wheels with Panzerart's resin G4 wheels!!😁😁Oh,I have even built both ICM's 1/72 G4 cars!!!Enjoy!!!!

You have installed the exhaust manifold upside down 6:21 that's why the inlet doesn't fit where it should.

I am an Italian model maker John, congratulations for the mercedes G4 icm it is very beautiful. I wanted to ask you a question: is this model for expert modelers or can intermediate modelers build it? Are the plastics weak and break or are they sturdy? Thanks Conrad
Hiya Conrad and thanks for stopping in. Intermediate yes, this was the first car I had done in 30 years. It's challenging no doubt, you need to make sure the chassis frame is square and level it has a lot of cross-members and the rear suspension axles. If I was to do this one again, I'd go with the 1/24th scale offering. Cheers!
