Andrew hardly says anything! He just sat there looking amused and handsome!
Andrew was usually like that. He always comes across to me as quite solemn. George didn't take over and I believe the questions were aimed at both of them.

I went to a concert and when I got there it was canceled because George had laryngitis. So, I had to make the trip twice to get to see him. He was already solo then.

I agree! I was always so impressed with how intelligent and articulate George was, at such a young age! GM had the looks, the talent, the intelligence, the sense of humor, sweet, kind, humble.....a total class act! Gorgeous angel of music, with a heart of gold. I'll love him forever.....

In 1984-1985 I lived in Elizabeth Bay Sydney and one morning I was driving past the Sebel Townhouse and George and Andrew were outside waiting for a car to pick them up. I can still remember that. RIP George.

Why did Australia hate George so much. I remember watching another Aussie interview, which George handled beautifully by the way, that attacked him worse than this one!! I thought they were cool people....
The public in Australia and Australian fans absolutely loved and adored Wham! and George Michael. Unfortunately though, here in Australia the media and journalists are well known for having 'tall poppy syndrome'. The tall poppy syndrome is a culture where people of high status are resented, attacked, cut down or criticised because they have been classified as better than their peers. It's a shame they behave this way towards people like George Michael as he was such an amazing, intelligent, humble, talented, loving and giving human being who did so much for this world and stood up and fought for so many issues. George Michael was actually treated very poorly by the media and newspapers around the world, particularly in England and USA. They should all be disgusted for the way they treated him and disrespected him. He deserved love, respect and admiration. The fans that loved him and all the people that have been touched by his music, lyrics, passion, philanthropy and heart of gold, know and have ALWAYS known, he was a true gift from God and there will NEVER be anyone like him. Love you and miss you so much xx
That other interview was on the Australian 60 minutes in 1988 while one his Faith Tour. It was a sit down interview and Jeff McMullen's opening question was 'George are you gay'. George took them to court and won. That's why it isn't available to watch anywhere.
I just watched that interview with George Michael and that awful interviewer you can find it on UA-cam it's LISTED as 60 minutes.
Yes! i was watching that interview just yesterday. The interviewer was so cocky. It was the first question which i think George must not have expected yet he handled it way intelligently. He said - its none of others business if he slept with an animal, man or woman last night.

I am a straight female and no one should have their life turned upside down because of their sexual preference .
It's funny how the press are so serious looking and think they are a couple of modern day casanova's living a debauched life with all these different women when nothing could be further from the truth, especially in George's case 🤭🤭
In Andrew's case too. The press made up dreadful lies about them both. It made us fans feel so angry that the press could get away with it.
I GREW UP WITH WHAM BOTH BOYS WERE VERY INTELLIGENT AND ARTICULATE AT 22 YEARS OF AGE, IN THE EARLY DAYS I FOUND GEORGE TO BE MORE NAIVE AND GULLIBLE AS ANDREW SEEMED MORE PRIMED FOR STARDOM HE HANDLED THE PRESS SO MUCH BETTER AS HE DIDNT GIVE A FUCK WHAT THE PRESS WAS PUTTING FORTH ,LATER GEORGE ADOPTED A SAYING , WHAT LIFES ABOUT IS NOT GIVING A FUCK WHAT PEOPLE THINK WHICH IS A LINE I HAVE CARRIED ALL OF MY LIFE IT ONLY WORKS IF YOU BELIEVE IT, GEORGE HAD SELF DOUBT WHICH IS ONLY HUMAN HE JUST DIDNT HAVE THE STRENGTH TO CLOSE THE DOOR ON ALL OF HIS DEMONS THAT FOLLOWED HIM,MIX THE TWO AND YOU HAVE A AMAZING TEAM ONE WITH MOST OF THE TALENT AND THE OTHER WITH MORE STRENGTH OF CHARACTER GEORGE SPENT MOST OF HIS LIFE JUSTIFYING HIM SELF WHICH FUELLED THE PRESS, THEY STARTED IT TOGETHER AND FINISHED IT TOGETHER (WHAM) AND WERE FRIENDS TILL THE END I STILL BELIEVE ANDREW WAS GEORGES ONLY TRUE FRIEND HE IS THE ONLY ONE TILL DATE WHO HAS KEPT HIS MOUTH SHUT HE IS AN AMAZING PERSON AND HAVE ALWAYS BELIEVED THAT GEORGES FEELINGS FOR ANDREW WERE MUCH MORE BEST DUET OF ALL TIME R.I.P
