Godot Game Engine Error - Unable to initialize Vulkan video driver (Easy Fix)

- This is a tutorial to fix the error where you are unable to open any game projects in godot game engine.
Feel free to ask any questions in the comments below :)
For those whose CMD does not recognize the command, keep in mind that possibly the author of the video has his user as administrator, so it is not necessary to open CMD as administrator for him. Just open CMD as administrator

Worked the first time, but then stopped after that again with the same error. When I try to open it in the command prompt with "Godot_v4.2.2-stable_win64 --rendering-driver opengl3" a pop-up asks me how I want to open ".2-stable_win64" files.

thanks it works but i get the same error when i run the game and reopen the app the reason is probably because the change isnt permenant is there anyway to make it permenant

Ok but how do you fix this for the actual exported project? Obviously I wouldnt want people who download my game to have to open command prompt just to run the game.
the issue is with the computer not godot.
his vulkan drivers, same as yours, don't work
don't export with fucking vulkan if you expect people to not be able to run it

@@L1derrFrog hey not sure if you're still struggling with this but i found a solution! when you enter a project, there's this button on the top right that might say forward+ or mobile just change it to compatibility and it should work

@@presidentofgaming8441 yes. if your vulkan driver doesn't work, you can't use the forward+ render pipeline, you gotta use the other one (gl whatever 3)

@@presidentofgaming8441 yeah, click on "Project" in the top left corner, then project settings, then enable advanced settings, then go to the Editor tab, then click on Run inside the Editor tab, and write "--rendering-driver opengl3" in Main Run Args.
Although I heard it's only a temporary solution, since OpenGL has rendering limtations, etc. and a complete solution is to just use Linux instead of windows or other devices. For that, you can watch a tutorial on how to dual boot on your pc.

Nvm, just put "Buckshot Roulette.exe" --rendering-driver opengl3
@@bsn4539 I did it another way, the game placed it in the username file, and I changed the name of the game so that it only had one space, yes it was able to run, but it did have errors.

This is not a fix. This is dodging the issue.
It is a fix, and fixing it is mostly likely dodging the issue. The reason that it is a "fix" is because it changes the rendering driver from Vulkan to OpenGL which is the most compatible option. If you want a real fix, then go fucking buy a good and recent AMD Graphics Card. That will solve the fucking problem since AMD GPUs use Vulkan for rendering.
