Hey man, thank you for your information. I usually don't know WHERE to start on new things and I always appreciate when someone organizes this kind of things. Thank you! Subbed!
it took me months to truly grasp Godot and GDscript - even as a fluent soft. developer with years of experience 😅 .. but what it helped me the most was trying to build and study from books, documentation and videos. It is not easy to start, but once you grasp the concepts you are up for a beautiful ride.
I didn't want to mention unity specifically, because I could see a lot of people are upset/stressed about it. I understand that the situation is probably tough for a lot of people (specially those who work in a mid-sized company), so for the people that are deciding to switch to Godot; hopefully, this video gives them a starting plan, or at least some form of a check list of the topics that they may want to start with. But you are absolutely right, Godot channels can make use of this situation by putting more Godot content. More tutorials is good for the new audience, the channel itself, and the entire Godot community/ecosystem.
As a backend developer I have nothing to do with Unity and this whole debacle. Actually, I could just not care at all. But I do! Somehow this got me interested in Godot ^^
friendly reminder if you have ADHD, especially unmedicated/untreated this roadmap could take significantly longer. Don't stress about this, keep going at your own pace!
Thank you very much! Actually, I was born on planet HD 209458 b. One day I was testing/playing around the planet with a new spaceship I bought, called nercedes-penz. All of a sudden, I found my self abducted by (human) aliens. I have been working on Earth for a long time, and I am soon going to retire, and I will go back to my home planet. Bhazar xD Aywa
I agree, I think it's likely better to start with smaller projects first, specially if your dream game is big and will take some time to build. I recommend starting with small projects that focus on different aspects of your dream game (eg. 2D or 3D, UI, networking, etc.) Once you have a solid foundation, you can approach your dream game. I hope this helps!
I'd rather leave the quick learning thing alone. I'm taking a lot of time to learn this properly. Learning to code takes a lot of time. even if it's not exactly C++. nothing about fast... no no 😉
Nice but really really basic. Sounds something like "How to draw an owl? 1) Draw two circles for the head and the body. 2) Draw the rest. Done!" Wasn't very helpful for me :(
I decided to start learning Godot because I want to make my dream game a reality. This will help a lot, thank you!
You are very welcome!
did you do it

Rome wasn't built in a day friend.
Learn how to make bricks, roads, houses, sewage, etc. And then begin building your rome

I guess it depends on everyone cause I needed something this basic
@@fressmeigasu1030 Probably, but then the video should be called "How to start your journey in Godot" or something like that
