Michael Schenker and Adrian Vandenberg are two of my four fav guitarrists (George Lynch and Eddie Van Halen being te other two) is fantastic listen them playing together. Such a gift
it didn't finish very well UFO/Schenker to finally close the book about UFO carreer with Michael , so he's surely not interested to invite Mogg ....unfortunately....
"Love to Love" is one the top hard rock ballads of all time. Axl did a good job (nobody can top Phil) so kudos to him. Unfortunately due to the "Grunge Era" and other factors, those younger than me (I am 60) missed out on the influence of UFO but musicians like Slash, Hammett, etc did not. Nothing can top the original UFO albums but it's great to see a great homage to this legendary band!!!😁😁😁😁
Excellent. Michael is a happy camper now and is and has always been plugged into his muse. I think over the last 20 years his hooking up with Michael Voss has helped him deal with the business and the possibilities. The fact he can still do it is astounding. My last concert was Uli Jon Roth gone for 19 years in America and followed by Michael 20 years ago. I saw Michael 6 times in different incarnations. UFO in 75 + 95. And solo 4 times but one of them was acoustic. All great. In some ways the 1995 reunion tour was the best. Unreal how a crowd averaging 35 or older made so much noise. I was 37 then. Axl respects Phil on Love to Love which I was pleased with. After all he has such a volatile history. I'm going to take the album in song by song.
Great record Michael your period with UFO is one of the best in all rock history! my only disappointment is not to have included pack it up and you don't fool me that are 2 masterpieces. I hope you will make a UFO tour because on those albums you are probably one of the top 5 guitar players in rock EVER!
Nobody can eclipse the Great Phil Mogg....and I am sure every vocalist on Mikey's latest album will agree with that. If they don't, then they have a serious ego problem. Saying that, many people who weren't familiar with UFO (especially people under the age of 40) who are more familiar with Axl Rose and others. Many have called into Eddie Trunk's show and have said that discovered UFO because of Axl et al. I know that Phil wasn't initially impressed with Mike's project, but now Phil has a few more generations of fans in his midst!😁😁😁😁
It is a great interview! But I don't understand the question concerning the songs that are played live with UFO in the 70's. These songs are all on the "Strangers In The Night" live album. I am a little confused.
What a great interview. you pulled almost the worms out his nose about listening to other music. I'm sure he does and telling he's stopped listening fifty years ago is a joke. Now that was a great album anyway.
Any chance to made interviews with :Ynwie, Jhon 5, Vinnie Moore, Macalpine,Tafolla,Gilbert,Jhon Sykes, Scott Ghorham from Thin Lizzy, George Lynch, Waren Di Martini (Ratt),Satriani,Vai, Akira Loudness, gary holt, , exodus, alex from testamet, Locicero from Forbidden, Vanderberg, , Don Dokken,Mick ,Pilson or Lynch, Ratt : Pearcy,Croucier or Blotz, Lita Fprd,, - Uriah Heep ,Jeff Waters (Annihilator) , Dee Snider, - Eddie Ojeda or Jay Jay French(Twisted Sister) - - Chris Caffery (Savatage ,TSO,Spirits of Fire) - Rudy Sarzo - Ynwie - Bobby or Ray Fates Warning - Lizzy Borden Holmes from WASP, Armored Saint,Zlozower,Mark Weiss,Def Leppard,Motley, Flotsam,Overkill,Anthrax, etc ?
Been a fan of Michael's for over 46 years, favorite player.I have no interest in hearing other voices other than Phil sing ing U.F.O songs, only Robin McAauly can cover any UF0,MSG songs with out ear irratation, wish Michael would stay with new material instead a effort into these people who had a lucky chance to work with him.
it's simply the internaional standard tuning, the 5th string is LA and the sixth string is MI , it's the only thing i know, i'm a drummer , not guitar player even i always played some for hobby....
Its a disapointed by Shenker dont talk much about Joey Tempest. Hi is the best voice today in all other singer in the album. Also Joey is very big fan of UFO. Shenker dont remember, when Europe bring you on the Stage..
Michael was the reason I picked up the guitar.
Nothing replace Phil Mogg excellence. Mogg is very superior singing UFO songs, he´s another superior level

Still disappointed he didn't invite Phil Mogg to sing a song or two. It's good to see Phil rockin' again.
I don't think he didn't invite Phil. I'm sure he's much respect for Phil and just....well it went that way

@@rainerpawellek1292 Well, they do run into each other at the same Supermarket they shop at. Maybe they pick out the same produce??🤔🤔😁
I stood 3 feet away from him at the marquee in 1974 playingwith UFO . Amazing .

Hey Michael, we would love to hear "On With The Action" live.
❤ PHENOMENON
Master Schenker!!!!!!!!!!
This is excellent news.....New Schenker, and reinterpreted old Schenker/UFO on modern recording.
This is a very prolific time for Michael. There’s lots of new music on the way.
The guitar 🐐.......... 🎤 DROP !!!!

Yes would have thought he could have asked Phil to do a track, unless did and he said no ?
