This BUY IT FOR LIFE lighter cost the same as 2 BICs (Tabletop Butane Lighter Repair)

A friend picked up this beautiful vintage brass tabletop lighter at a thrift store for $5 and asked if I could get it working for him; to which I immediately obliged!
I hope you find the craftsmanship of the parts and fabrication throughout as fantastic as I did. I also found the engineering of the valves and tank to be masterfully simple and easy to work on. I wish I knew what brand it was, but there were no markings. It serves as a great reminder that it's not the name on something that makes it 'good;' it's intentionality.
