I am glad to see that Reading locomotive 2102 has been restored and returned back to operation as of last year, engine 2102 is one of four surviving Reading T1 class locomotives and one of two that will soon be operational. The 2102 is now back in service and soon locomotive 2100 will return to service as well after receiving it's required maintenance labor.
The Reading T-1s were just beautiful and always sounded good. Just a shame this video is so blurry. Hopefully the 2100 and 2102 will find a way to get together when they are completed. What a sight that will be!
It’s upsetting how mainline steam excursion operations aren’t like this anymore. Wish they will just come back to the mainline in the future! Who agrees with me?
1098 can be the third locomotive. IF... she can Be ultra sounded. Restored as a backup to 425 if that’s possible. 3 would be more than enough. Aka 225. Like seeing back to 1098
@@QuincyO5b614 doesn't need to do excursions on CSX to operate, Ross Rowlands company owns her, so they can do whatever they want with her. I feel like he's saving 614 for something special, but I'm not going to assume anything yet.
@@QuincyO5bI hate to say it, but as long as CSX and the rest of the Class I’s are owned by government officials and stock holders, that’ll never happen. UP, NS, and CPKC didn’t start their steam programs for us railfans, they did it as a “public relations tool” though, CPKC does seem more lenient on preserving their heritage unlike UP and NS.

She’s singing like an angel by her Reading 6-chime whistle in these clips.
Nice video of 2102. She waits to return...
Thanks!

Yeah sorry about the video being blurry lol. iMovie doesn’t corporate with me sometimes. But I’m glad you enjoyed the video though!
I’ve actually heard when 2100 is complete, the Reading & Northern may do a doubleheader with 2102 as well
Can't wait to see this glamor-girl back in action again.

I think so too

i hope CSX drops their "No Steam Under It's Own Power" rule. until is does, 614 will not move an inch..

There’s a bonus scene of CPRR 972 pushing her consist back to Jim Thorpe station. I’m not 100 percent who was the Engineer that day
I can’t wait until at least one Reading T1 is back in action. I understand that their restorations have been pretty ongoing.
The reading 2100 is being restored now. NOT the 2102
Actually both 2100 and 2102 are being restored. The guys at the RBMN are almost done with 2102’s restoration
SP 745 Productions Hopefully by the end of 2020 - Early 2021 we can see her return to her home rails.
