    Hi Friends, if you're looking for a simple way to record your music? We demoed this unit once before with a young Artist, Laura Padaratz. She was just 18 when we did that demo and had no prior recording experience! Today we have Steve Maggiora, keyboard player for Toto, Robert Jon and The Wreck and also a solo artist. Please download the tracks and listen for yourself!

    I'm not a producer, not even a musician, just a music enthusiast and this channel has one of the most entertaining content in YT. I watched the whole video just for the musicianship. Such a great voice and so much talent.
    The device itself is quite cool and it seems easy enough to understand that even non-musicians can follow everything you did.
    Love the content of this channel please keep up the amazing work, I've learnt a lot from your "Songs that changed music" series.

I'm confused, and I don't know what to take from the presented product in this price range, and since you had a lot of budget monitors on the test, and you are a professional in your field, I ask you to recommend the best choice of a studio monitor up to $ 500-600. I think Izotope have made a HUGE mistake with this subscription model. First, it's a $500 product and then they whack on $5 / mth to get full use of the product! Not cool. And Second and a most important point that companies need to recognise, is that consumers only have so much that they can spend on subscriptions. Meaning, after phone, netflix, subs to channels, Slate, Pro Tools, Adobe, and whoever else has hooked you in, the cupboard can get pretty bare, and they will lose potential customers by the truck-load. At the very least, they should make the Pro version available as a one time purchase. However, it's great product and the presentation was awesome.

    • @elijahtrenton8351
      @elijahtrenton8351 3 роки тому

      The hardware works without the subscription, it's for instrumentalist and producers who want to plugin in their instruments, mics and other gear. The pro subscription is for singers and rappers who don't want to deal with a daw. They just record through the phone mic and it cleans up the audio, allows you to add effects, share the stems, and collaborate through the web app.

    Great demo and great voice (as ever!) - BUT:
    -the hardware package is too expensive for what it actually is & does, despite the "nifty lights"
    -the subscription system is a total no-go, people should have the right to limitlessy & unharassedly (updates, reminders, ads...) use things they have purchased
    -the app, even in its free version, asks "permission to access device location" and wants that function turned on, at least on Android - WTF is that about?? Multitrack or multimarketing?
    So, thanks but no, IMHO.
    Other solutions are far better, or less expensive, or equally capable, or less invasive, or any combination of the above.

      For me it's a great video showing a simple unit for anyone who doesn't want to learn a DAW, for instance I know this unite has done very well in High and Elementary Schools where kids are using to do basic multi tracking. Warren's first video had a teen age girl recording a song in real time for the first time, after having never done any multi tracking. She would still be plugging in the DAW/Interface and figuring out the basics of the software in the time she took to record the song idea she had. This is a unit for those kinds of people, what I love about Warren is he's not a snob, he shows all kinds of ways to record.

      @@thesongacademy5017 Agree on all your points, which in turn doesn't change the validity of any of mine regarding this specific product, its price and its sales scheme.

      And yes, there are several ways to record without a DAW (not that learning how to use one in its most basic form is a bad idea or should be impossible for any person of any age wanting to make music in 2021!) and there are several devices in various price ranges that allow it.

    $600 for this thing plus $60/year? Get yourself a scarlett 2i2 and reaper for free.. Put the $600 towards a used laptop which does all that, plus all the other things computers do... Do-dads and gizmos for suckers that are too lazy to spent 30min googling audio recording. I don't blame you for doing paid promos... It definitely pays better than selling real music on spotify, but this is not the best solution or cheapest. I have students that don't own laptops and want to get into recording but this is not worth the cheddar they're asking. Plus monthly or even annual subscription fees for production software are a shitty model.
