    I did not disable comments. My Daughter has CP and years ago I documented her progress with walking. Since I have some videos with a minor in them, youtube disabled all comments on my videos for now. I don't know when or if they will ever be enabled again. For now, please feel free to reach me on Twitter or Instagram.
    At full speed, the Fractal Design fans were loud! And a higher pitched loud than I could stand! So I replaced the two Fractal Design 120's for two Noctua NF-A14's 140's, put two of those at the top as well, and replaced the stock back fan with an NF-A12x25 PWM fan.
    PWM (4 pin) fans are better than non PWM fans. They can be controlled via the computer! It knows when you're taxing your computer (so it turns the fans up) and it knows when you're just browsing Facebook... (so it turns the fans down).
    VS having them at one speed and having to reboot to BIOS to change the speed. PWM is awesome! Noctua is awesome!

    I have this case. I love it. My favorite case I've ever owned. This thing has so much venting I only have 3 intake fans and no exhaust fans. I took the mesh off the top. The 3 intake fans at 1000 rpm is enough to flow air through the entire case, I can feel a breeze coming out of the back and at the top. And everything stays very cool.

      So it work better without exhaust fans?

    To get an idea about how much fans you can connect to one header on the motherboard, it's just a matter of current the fans draws. The maximal current consumption of a fan is normally printed on the label, sum all fans up which you want connect, and be sure you stay below the maximum allowed current. This you can find in the manual of the motherboard, it's a round 1 A for the most. But good practise will be to separate the fans by location if you have enough headers on the board. This gives you more control over the system pressure.

      you can also solve with a pwm hub, I got all my intake A14 to the pwm hub that comes with my case (a phanteks full tower) and I've to say it's really handy

    You shouldn't optimize you fan curv when your side panel is off. This kills the airflow, and static pressure these fans deliver. If it only was for filming purposes I get it.

    The top right fan isnt doing anything apart from pulling cool air back out the case. Turn it off, you want that cool air being pulled directly into the cpu cooler.

    • @simon_roy

      No it creates a more powerfull airflow, even if there is loss of cool air, but yes it's probably the least usefull fan from the case

      I have this case. There is so much venting in this case you don't even need a fan on the top at all if you take off the extra mesh pad that lays on it. I took the pad off and I can feel a nice breeze coming out the top just from the pressure of my intake fans at the front of the case. Everything stays super cool too. Been running like that for two years now.

    Hi wwjoshdew! I also have a meshify c with two 120 noctua a12s on the front and one in the back. But mine are INCREDIBLY loud even when I set the fans to silent in the BIOS. I'm not sure what's happening to them. It's been like this for a year now and cooling is fine. Just super loud!

    • @laggmonstret
      @laggmonstret Рік тому +1

      Haha, and you just did suffer it through for a whole year without troubleshootin? But dig deeper in the BIOS, and try and set the RPM manually to it's lowest, also make usre they are set to PWM. Then the classic: check what pin you put that fan in the back on, did you put it on radiator pump pin? If so you must set it to PWM so it doesn't go 100% all the time :D

    You have created a negative-pressure situation with a sub optimal airflow. To fix this you should either swap the front-top exhaust fan to intake or turn it off altogether. Both the CPU and GPU will appreciate that.

    • @Katt--
      @Katt-- 11 місяців тому

      Would switching the front-top exhaust to intake make the airflow kind of weird since it would suck in some of the hot sir as well as an intake right next to an exhaust? I have the same case and looking to buy new fans

  • @mikiknops9667
    @mikiknops9667 3 роки тому +1

    If you have 2 120mm on top to push air out, 2 140mm in front to suck air in and one 120mm on back to push air out, you are having negative pressure if i understand how all that works? So dust can be sucked up trough cracks without filter in case and with time have worse cooling?

    • @VROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM
      @VROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM 2 роки тому +1

      You don't have to match it. There is so much mesh in this case and venting it will either pull or push any extra air through the many mesh venting areas of the case. You really only have to worry about matching flow rates if you have a very tight and sealed case.

      was looking to answer this very question. I just installed new fans in my tower... and I'm debating how best to wire them. All my motherboad chassis fan ports are open. I have 1 4 pin, and 2 3 pin connections. the current fans were all daisy chained to the front of my tower, I have no idea how they are connected, it's difficult to get to them. I think I'll just route the new fans to the motherboard. But will split them, 2 and 2 so I don't have 3 to 1 header.
