I went to Sitges 49 - yes, 49 - years ago. With a friend from the US - a friend from London who met us there - and a lovely man from Stockholm who I met there. -- who I fell in love with. The beach was beautiful, the bars great. It was and is pure heaven. Thank you for the memories!!
I also had a similar romance holiday there. It’s soon fun to see that this magical and romantic side of sitges didn’t only happen to me. ❤️❤️❤️❤️

My youth. ‘80 till early 2000ths After age 45 it was time to quit. Great place. Great time.
You can walk along the promenade to the gay beach. At the end of it just follow the sand path on top of the dune. Takes 30 minutes. Late afternoon, cruising in de bush across the railway track. Gay,nude, beach
looks ‘gentrified’. Bar and parasols. There used to be just men. In town there’s also a Gay beach. Sort of in the middle. You’ll see. Sitges also has beautiful Art nouveau architecture. Yes. Culture. 😊
Nice to hear Louis you went there and saw Sitges growing as a gay town and became what we see now. I hope after 45 or even before I make a move and set down there.

Enjoyed watching this presentation 😊. I holidayed in Sitges a few times in the 80's, I was in my 20's. Thoroughly enjoyed the place. I remember Parrots bar on a square and most gay bars were on C.Mediteranio I think. I also remember a night club called Trailer, it was great but was always having trouble with the electricity supply and the A/C kept switching off and it got HOT,HOT,HOT 😅.

1988 in the early twenties.... ah, TRAILER ... What a memory ... what nights... to start first in Calle 1st of may, then up to calle San Bonaventura (Bourbons and Mediterraneo Bars) later at night to Trailer Disco with a quick sunrise visit to the beach. So beautiful memories to this beloved town.

I love Sitges and been there first in 2000 and several times since, its a refreshing relaxing break from beautiful Barcelona. a friendly fun gay atmosphere. I love to walk along seafront to playa del Murte ,have a drink at the cafe there , relax on the beach and enjoy getting lost in the woods behind 😁

It looks like you need to be one of the "beautiful people" to go there. Not sure I would feel comfortable but I am still planning a trip to see Barcelona. Gays are so judgmental about the body. Have fun!
I would say that Barcelona you see way more this judgment than sitges. There are so many gays living there from all sizes, ages and tribes. I didn’t feel it but I am the young one so not the best to tell you. But from my point of view I felt it very diverse.
Sitges welcomes all shapes, ages and sizes. Please come and visit us.
Possibly the busiest week in the season is the International Bears Week in September, where you will see all shapes and sizes. There is another bears even at the end of April, start of May.
You can’t take a taxi to playa del Muerte. Only to the last hotel on the sea blvd and then it’s another 20 min. climb/walk. What these guys do, via the woods, is too complicated and one might get lost. Just walk from centre. Fun. Action these days mostly at the rocks at playa del Muerte, after 3pm, swimming to the right or climbing, use shoes, on the right. Cruising in the park across the railway mostly after 5/6pm but a lot less action these days compared with 25/30 years ago, i’m 66, when the fore last beach was thé Gay beach, now quiet and taken over by straights, with today a lot less sand, beach got smaller, something the whole of Sitges suffers from, and than a tunnel from the beach trough the hill straight to the park across the track. It was wild then but now it’s all at the last, also rather small beach, Muerte, with the rocks action. Also i dare say the sex scene among young men has changed a lot. From one to one or more action, full of body loving and mutual orgasm reach, fun for both, to egocentric cock/ass action where one uses the other one’s body parts and easily walks away from one’s sex partner in total disregard. I see this in all cruising areas and clubs all over Europe these days. Was a lot more mutual fun in my days. I hate to get older but would hate it more to be young these days with the zombie sex going on.

Seek out Bear events and clubs there. You won't get more body positive and diversity than at a Bear event..where EVERYBODY is beautiful, loved and accepted. 😉

Went to Sitges many years ago with my boyfriend. We always went a couple of times a year. It's a beautiful place. Extremely clean. I've many happy memories from being there. 100% recommend. You will have the best holiday ever.❤xx

I haven’t been you US to compare but Sitges is like a gay historical village so you see gay men everywhere. From hikers to party crowds. The centre is full of really cute cafes and restaurants. You also find nice places by the beach.
The only place which is a bit of a hassle to get things to eat and drink (there is only one bar the card machine doesn’t have connection most of the times) is playa del hombre muerto.
So take cash for that one.
This is very, very cruising and it’s a great place to spend a day too.

Yea, Sitges is great place for gay- style holiday, one of my fave gay places i keep returning to every year, the other is Prague. Sitges is for holidays, sun and sea, place to enjoy being loud and gay, Prague for living and drinking beer, place where being gay is just so normal noone cares.
and the nice thing about sitges is that they have a year full of events that we can go and it is always busy and fun.
I´ll be there next month for the Bears Meeting

Seems like there's way too much cruising for my taste. I live in a high traffic gay neighborhood, and like to take a break from all the gayness. This is not self-loathing, I'd would more than likely find my way to there.
There are few good places also to find your peace and still being in a gay environment. But either way you will find both. Cruising and chilled places. You choose the one to pick in the end. This channel is more dedicated to the “gay fun” just because there are lots of other channels that show nice cities around the world to take a break and they do a great job. I did not see any kind of discriminations happening but as a white person I cant really say as I am not in your skin and the daily treatment from people so I don't think I am the right person to reply to this question. Hope somebody of color will read it and will reply to you on their impressions.
It's friendly to all colours, sexualitys, sizes & ages. Don't let any insecurities stop you from visiting this beautiful city as they are only in your head. Diversity is the best thing about the place......along with the chips with garlic mayonnaise which are widely available.

We went to Sitges 3 decades ago....and all we can say it was....HORRIBLE....in the end we got involved in a row, because of drunk guyz, who are agressive, and all they want is hump you.....We couldn,t even have a simple conversation....we were fed up with the cruising and aggressive guyz around.....after 2 hours, out of misery we walked back to the station, and slept there, waiting for the next train to Barcelona.....So then we decided to NEVER go back to Spain, especially Not Sitges.....Nobody who I want to connect with, to superficial.....just empty guyz....No thanxs
