Just clicked the link in email for this video and immediately see the new Neumann mic. I''ve been using my new Neumann for a couple months now and it is wonderful. Every musician I play with has commented on how true, fat, and warm the mic sounds. And the construction is solid. Of course, I got it from my rep at Sweetwater. Waiting for the flute attachment to see how it sounds and feels on my 1959 Powell. Now on to watch the video on this wireless device.
Love this XVive! Use it all the time during marching band season!
Hey presto! And the review appears as if by magic! Thanks Jay. I’d reached the same conclusion when researching (credit card now in hand!). Best wishes.
Great video Jay! Wonderful mic! Neumann, really one of the best brand.😊
Just wanted to say your new Etudes lesson pack is awesome.
I have never bought one before but I am trying to transcribe less (weird as that sounds) and actively analyse more.
Having you dissect lines you're coming up with is SO helpful, and the music you've put together is absolutely brilliant 👍
Thanks so much great to hear this from you.
Hi Jay just bought this works great all your videos are very educational please dont stop .... thanks
Good to hear!
I love it good 👍
You also made a review for the bnux-6. Bnux-6 vs Xvive, what's better? And can the Neumann work also with the bnux?
Do you prefer the Neuman over the Dpa 4099? Pros and cons? Thanks so much. Love your channel!!!
Hi. Thanks for your video. Can you give an idea, is it comparable with AKG C411 transducer pick up, which requires Phantom power. I play mandolin and use C411.
Hi Jay!!! Do a video about "in-ear" monitors: tips, best setting etc 👍👍👍
My band uses the Xvive IEM stuff, and it works great.
@@ericdano thanks!!! I also use Xvive U4 and ZST in ears. For me works great. But I want to learn some basics to maximize this product like what instruments should I hear (right now Im only hearing wind instruments because Im trying to protect my hearing).
@@jccolon84 That is more a function of your band's mixer. Specifically, like you have different Bus Mixes that go to each IEM. And from there each person can have whatever level of whatever in their IEMs. Most all modern digital mixers have Bus Mixes that can do this. And you need a mixer that has enough outputs (including the Main L/R) to support the number of band members you have.
I use one and find it gets a lot of issues with interference so can’t be relied on. Never had an issue with the battery though on function gigs. Range is not that good. I also use a Nux 6b which is good for jazz quartet gigs where the desk is not on stage.
Jay is it possible to just pop a new battery in? Or is the only solution recharging?
recharging only
Hello! I tried this with my Dpa 4099 and got a lot of inteference. I contacted Dpa who said this: ‘The frequency carrier om Xvive U3c is operating with a freq carrier of 2,4GHz and only our miniature mics with the latest Core technology bulldoser in has been verified to work with no noice. ‘
So that would mean it doesn’t work with older Dpa’s?
Best,
Arve (Norway)
Good to know thanks for sharing.
Is this better than nux b6 ?
It is switchable so probably more usable. The Nxx is great as long as it doesn’t interfere with other devices
This won't make every Mic wireless. It doesn't work on my Rode Video Mic, apparently you need an adapter which is I think around 45 dollars.
Thanks for making me spend $200…
