I have the base 2012 TSX Wagon, and it is one of Honda's best built cars....a rebadged Euro Accord with a Civic SI motor. It is a smooth revving motor, the paddle shifters work great in Sport mode, the double wishbone suspension and steering feel are excellent. This sucker is bullet proof reliable and fun as hell to drive.
Instead of talking at length about what this car is not, talk about what it is! Some people want an efficient, good handling, low maintenance car with good cargo ability; and is not as concerned with stupid things like push button start!
He get's 26 mpg on the highway? I just got 35 with mine on a 120 mile round trip at 65mph which cancels out any wind effect. Hey Vlad, the engine is just fine. It's smooth as silk. If by "better" you mean a V-6, keep in mind that this is a very nice, high quality wagon. It's not a race car.
One thing about the keyless entry and starting: My wife's father has an Acura RL with keyless, and if both he and his wife have keys in their pockets while approaching the car, the keyless system gets confused as to who's key has priority when setting seat positions And everything else it stores
this is not even the acura sedan to compete with the germans. The TL is the one to compete with them. This is really just for people who want a luxury car without a premium price. It seems like it would compete with the volkswagen. The wagon he reviewed could have the technology package and have the same base price of the Bmw 3 series and The mercedes C class. Maybe it could compete with the audi A4 with the cvt because they both have "ok" transmissions.
Regarding keyless: if two people approach the car, each with their own keys, the keyless system gets confused when setting all the individual presets, like seat, steering wheel and mirror positions.
Acura/Honda have improved on there rust protection big time, i have a 2002 CRV bought it new, and surprisingly no rust what so ever and i live near the beach, now my 91 accord that was another story, rust city.
This guy doesn't understand that this is Acura's entry level car. Except for the 5-speed auto that will likely be upgraded to a 6-speed soon, you get a lot in this car for only paying $31,000. Besides, is it really that hard to turn a key to start the car? We are lazy people.
an audi or bmw will cost you much more in the long haul then that simple K24 and Honda reliability. A 6spd trans or a manual option would have been nice. I thought the wagon was great unfortunately it didn’t stick around too long to go to a 2nd gen.
"Audi is the best car"??? Have you ever owned one? You better have a season pass to the dealer's repair department. But it's always been an ongoing dilemma: Drive a slightly boring car with great reliability or drive a more exiting car that is high-strung with less reliability.
Everyone wants SUVs. Station wagons remind me of National Lampoon vacation lol. Driving this now. My dad's car. I hate it 😂 too long. Agree about the key. Used to my 2008 Lexus.
Your a spoiled ungrateful brat. My parents couldn't afford a descent car themselves, and I had to work my ass of to buy my first used shifty car. It's a white thing, being spoiled and entitled.
The japanese need to understand that other people in this world are taller and they should build a roof height accordingly. Tried one of these this week and with the seat all the way down I had at most about 1/2 inch of headroom clearance. One small jolt or bump and my head hit the roof.
That's a really stupid and ignorant remark. It's a compact size car, of course it's not gonna be big enough for some people like other compact size cars that are American, German etc. Japanese also make midsize and full size cars which do have plenty of room, just like American, German etc. Gimme a fricking break!!

When my 97 accord wagooon kicks the bucket, I’ll be picking up one of these
that accord wagon of yours is great. i love seeing them on the road. i believe all tsx are made in japan also
he's complaining over turning a key vs pushing a button really dude come on
the acura will outlast the mercedes and the audi
BMW/MB/Audi: We'Re HeRe FoR a GoOd TiMe, NoT a LoNg TiMe

I was gonna say, my TL gets 30-33 on the highway at 65-75 MPH. I highly doubt a 4 cyl TSX only gets 26 mpg.
Larry Cook
How much you would get at 75 mph?
Great review. I agree. Must have at least 6 gears.

I find it very difficult to associate luxury cars with station-wagons/"family cars"....they don't seem to fit together...
Is that before or after the entire body rusts through on the Acura?

Shut up, you spoiled 304 🤡

without knowing how tall you are, this comment is meaningless
I really think he is making a compare car versus BMW or MB but they cost double than this one, don´t they??
im 8 years late
but 'this inline 4 isn't good for acura or anything it's size'
it. puts. down. almost. 300. ponies.
Where'd you find that information? This car is barely making more than 200 HP
@@AzenBerries the v6
puts down almost 300
@@D34DEditors I thought he was talking about the 4 cylinder
@@AzenBerries yeah I figured haha all good man!

Or you wait till 2022 and pay less than 10,000 for one like I am doing or did!
This car screams "2008"
Bias much? Btw its a sport orientated vehicle.
i know the american auto industry not doing well but u dont have to insult acura man common (petty reason)
