@@teacher.thiagoalencarhi, theacher make a video about learning a language (in this case, English) after 40 years old and whether you are old enough to become fluent. I am 46 years old and I am always here, following your classes and tips. Thanks for always.
Hi teacher Thiago. I would like to start learning Portuguese but don't know how I'll get in touch with you. I got the link of your personal UA-cam channel from Real-life English channel. I would like to be trained by you because you're an expert in Portuguese and English.

Hello Teacher, I can confirm what you're saying about longhand writing! It is not only a good method for learning and improving vocabulary, sentence structure and grammar, but it also gives me a kind of inner satisfaction that motivates me. Greetings from Austria and thanks for your Valuable Teaching!
Omg!!!!!!! Thiago, thank you so so much ❤, I never miss any of your episodes and I was not expecting this 😭😭😭 (these are happy tears), thank you so much from the bottom of my heart 🙏🏼
I was deliberately listening to native speakers ...in 1.5 speed ... initially it was tough but gradually i get acclimated...now i can understand what you are saying in 2x speed... certainty the tactic was almost like a witchcraft...❤
Sure, it's good like he says every consuming of the language it's important! Stick around and understand also that it takes time and use the time in your favor.
You need to be used to the changement of conversation speeding rate and doing this was also a gamechanger for me .🎉🎉 I really recommend it to every b2 to c2 level students.
As a person who has been studying by myself, I can assure that recording myself talking about my day, my life, my plans, these simple, but important things were crucial for improving my speaking. I know this can seems a little bit weird, but when we talk to ourselves there's zero pressure, you can make a mistake without be worry and restart, it's totally worthwhile!
It's a good tip, Milenna. I could complement this, for anyone who are reading your comment, with AI conversation. If you have the priviledge to use the payed version of chatGPT, they released a new version, some days ago, of their speech to speech feature. With this improved feature, you can speech more fluid. It's not necessery to talk, wait the AI process what you've said, then you waiting for IA to answare the entire output. You can have with it a real conversation, like you have with a person in front of you. You can ask it to correct your mistakes too. Try this and let me know if it helped you.
All your videos are amazing, but especially this , it was incredible, because, I kicked off my English study alone , completely alone , so today I've been learning many things with you . An extremely interesting lesson that takes me back to when, as a boy in the 90s, learning English felt like a more joyful task than it does today. Back then, I had only a grammar book and a student workbook, and doing exercises by hand was the norm. Occasionally, I would listen to the few CDs available in the school library. Fewer resources meant that everything stuck better in my mind, and my relationship with the language was more direct. I must admit that today's new media have provided a huge opportunity for listening and understanding, among other things. However, I often get lost in the overwhelming amount of resources. When I was younger, working with the few available tools-acting out dialogues from the book, handwriting, and reading aloud-gave me great satisfaction. Still, today’s resources can be used very effectively, as this lesson, along with all the materials and the private community you created, convincingly demonstrates. Thank you, Thiago!
I agree 100% with what you just shared here, Alessandro. My experience learning English was very similar. I believe the main challenge now is striking a balance between being minimalistic with the resources you use while taking advantage of all that is available today. Thanks for being a valuable member of the community!
Thanks, Thiago! You are right about these points. Recently, I bought my first English book, 'Zero Negativity: The Power of Positive Thinking', and I planned to write highlights for every page. This will help me better understand the content, improve my writing and reading skills, and also allow me to use new words to express my thoughts.

About watching the same content several times, I can testify how it helped me learn about verb tenses. As the philosopher Clovis de Barros says in his famous video "Do you have pride?" In my experience, the speaking skills are the last skills to be developed. Focus on your input for now. Consume content in English (Videos, podcasts, movies, etc.) and do study some grammar with a grammar book. With time, your speaking skills will surface.
Hello, how have all of you bee? In my case, I've taken my English development so hard. definitely I want a higher position at the next year, something like a development projects manager and there's to work hard to get it. Thanks for your tips Thiago, a warm regard from afar.😊😊😊😊

so true, when I read silently I could say I am an awesome reader but when I tried reading out loud it was very different I am not that good as I thought.😅
Hey thiago 👋 my name is andy in the short way . I want to ask one question ...my english is in beginner level and I use different platforms to improve and boost my english but i have a problem of speaking in the grammatical way. what would i do thiago?
In my experience, the speaking skills are the last skills to be developed. Focus on your input for now. Consume content in English (Videos, podcasts, movies, etc.) and do study some grammar with a grammar book. With time, your speaking skills will surface.
@@teacher.thiagoalencar Thanks a lot
GOOD VIDEO!
Hello, how have all of you bee? In my case, I've taken my English development so hard. definitely I want a higher position at the next year, something like a development projects manager and there's to work hard to get it. Thanks for your tips Thiago, a warm regard from afar.😊😊😊😊
Thanks for following the channel, Richard. Just make sure you pace yourself with your studies so as not to burn out.
Hi Thiago, haven't you forgotten the integrated subtitles?
Hey, there!
You can activate the UA-cam subtitles by clicking on CC on the video player.
Great, I have heard this video for the second time.... The first time without subtitles and now with....also shadowing you... 😂
when you say: "write down the summary of a episode"....how do you know what you're writing, is correct?
I would recommend using ChatGPT or Google Gemini for that. You can paste your text there and ask the bot to correct your text and give you feedback.
