USS Nimitz (CVN-68) is a supercarrier of the United States Navy, and the lead ship of her class. One of the largest warships in the world, she was laid down, launched, and commissioned as CVAN-68, "aircraft carrier, attack, nuclear powered", but she was later redesignated as CVN-68, "aircraft carrier, multi-mission, nuclear-powered", on 30 June 1975, as part of a fleet-wide realignment that year.

Be nice take pictures of Nimitz going out to sea. In person maybe other carrier will come into San Diego when out there in January next time plan to go out to west coast before I fly to Thailand if still alive in febuary
I never know what to feel when I see the Nimitz, served there for the covid cruise. just happy if my friends have a good deployment finally.
I wanted to get out this icy box Ohio this month but can not now till Jan now
I wanted to go out to San Diego 2500 miles from me in Massillon here had my train paid for but not much money for lodging so stayed home till Jan 19 then maybe go out to San Diego again on bus or train?

And in first division on us navy most power packed ship based in old long beach ca navy base
USS new jersey bb62 during first Lebanon war 80s
I saw them last November in Washington state they go to Pacific Ocean

If it's a deployment, why aren't they manning the rails?
They were picking up air crew they officially deployed from bremerton Washington a few days before this. My son is a MM on board the Nimitz.
