I still think that some magicians are really good at what they’re doing. It takes a lot of practice to learn the illusions and make em look real. So hats off for good magicians/illusionists🙏 I love to watch magic and even though I’m 37 years old I’m getting excited like a little boy hahaha 😅 And also, thanks for explaining some tricks that I really wondered how they worked 👍
The bending spoon can be done with a spoon that has been severed and soldiered back together with the metal gallium which melts at body temperature thus holding it at the point where it was put back together and rubbing slightly will cause the spoon to bend
Thank you for your revealing the magics BUT When I think about it, I prefer I didn’t know about them! I actually like it when I’m tricked by magicians 😄😄 But again thank you ...amazing video!
Your "walking through the wall" method is closer to David Copperfield's China Great Wall than Houdini's. Read "Houdini's Illusions" (hope the book is still in print). He used a trap door in the stage floor covered with the carpet. He went under the wall, between the carpet and the I-rail on which the brick wall was built in the presence of the audience.
I came here to say this. Houdini had the audience inspect the carpet, ensuring no holes. When it came time for the trick, dozens of audience members stood on the edges of the huge carpet, to keep it in place. Houdini didn’t need a hole in the carpet - when the trap door opened, there was enough slack in it to let him shimmy underneath.
Andrew Overmyer and everyone eric weis harry houdini had two ways to walk through a brick wall if the stage had trap doors use those if the stage was solid cemt florr stage no trap doors then act like other crew helpers idea and doug henning illusion did same idea added mirrors and extra person acting as doug hands and copperfield walked through steel then same idea at the Great Wall of China they went through many version untill they foind one they were proud of ps houdini had many ways to escape a wodden crate box but audience throught only one way was acomplished
Wrong in that there was more to that trick than he showed. I don't know how it was done, but I can think of a way of how to do what was done in that video. I hope people don't try to replicate what he did, because it was very dangerous.
How could fail at revealing a trick already revealed. Though some use that method for walking through walls, Houdini didn't. Houdini's trick was done by having the solid wall built on a fabric covering (to "protect the stage") over a trapdoor. When the trapdoor opens, the fabric sags granting enough space for a man like Houdini to squeeze beneath to the other side. The people on stage never saw the trapdoor because he never went through it so the covering could stay there the whole time.
Always make sure to state these are YOUR personal opinions and not facts... for example David Copperfield has stated numerous times that the trick did not involve rotation of the stage... he has also stated that although it is a "trick", it is not rotating the stage... I was there and the stage was solid ground and could not have been rotated...
Pantelis Lazarou I understand what you're saying and why you'd think that but I was not on the stage perse. And both before and after the entire place was checked by both myself and others out of personal curiosity 😊
The platform moved. Done slowly you didn't notice. As to Copperfield saying that's not how its done... so what? You don't seriously think he was going to go "yep thats it" do you?
The explanation for the spoon bending trick has to be wrong. The magician is holding the spoon from *above*, not below as shown in the explanation. He can't hide a pre-bent spoon and a spoon handle the way he's holding it. This channel has shown this trick at least twice now, and they've used the same two clips for the example and the explanation, but the clips don't match up.
Please explain exacatly how David C passed through great wall of china? You can't say he had his assistance acting as him because it is clear it is him right to the moment cube is closed and no one insde the cube. Love to know that one. But your above clip was excellent. Thank you
There is another way of doing the spoon bending where you actually do it. You make a mold of a spoon, buy a bit of gallium (31 on periodic table) and make a spoon out of it. It has a really low melting point so when you rub it, it actually begins to bend. Then you can even have a glass of lukewarm water (you can drink it before) and then spin it in the glass, then people will visually see it disappear in the water. Its really cool.
Not sure about the liberty one...i believe its more optical...bright lites shine at the spectators and they simply shut off the lites to miss liberty...the spectators eyes will adjust to the brightes spot not allowing them to see anything 200 feet in the darkness...great video.
@Mohammad Nadeem The 'back' is the part shown to the audience. He folds the card in the front which is facing towards him (the one that was signed). He goes through the motion folding and unfolding to fold the signed card while extending the outer card to rip it for visual effect for the audience. In the end he places the ripped parts in his jacket whilst burning a part of the folded signed card, only to blow it out and unfold it quickly. It's a neat illusion
One of the most effective things a magician can do is to use two tricks In one to make it even more mind blowing, For example, with Blaine, I as a lay person with a bit of magic knowledge, wasn’t that surprised to learn he had a gimmicked coin. I also know that for him, secretly swapping a borrowed coin for the gimmicked one and then switching it back would be child’s play. But somehow, when he does both together it blows my mind, because I’m already sitting there thinking “it’s easy with a Gimmicked coin” but then, When he uses the audiences borrowed coin, My mind is blown

@@elkapitan75 well, maybe. But to install super long, heavy mentally poles in the top of those towers, without damaging the structure, would be pretty insane.... I'm not even sure it's possible.
Spoon trick is.. weirdly explained since the angles are completely different, you can see the bend outside of his hand and not on the inside of it so it can't hide behind the fingers. It must be something entirely different
I said that as well. The same trick is explained in at least two of this channel's videos, but unfortunately, they made the same mistake in both explanations.
