So if you go on google.com they could serve you their own page, that will communicate with actual google and look just like it, but will monitor anything you do. What is worse is the fact that they can substitute things like loaded in scripts, so even if they serve you right sites, if they substite common backend libraries used on those sites, they can do whatever they want with your data and log all your logins and passwords as well. You underestimate how much power it is to be able to change what IP your pc with be connecting too when it looks up something.

@@BenDover-gm8bx it seems dodgy. As others have pointed out, the site isn't even encrypted. Also, just because they don't save your IP address doesn't mean they don't log your activity. If you really want to change your DNS, use 1.1.1.1 . But there's not much point if you're fine with what you've got.

Windows OS got its own DNS Resolver too, if it makes a problem (like trying to connect to a site that got new IP), you can clear it with command ipconfig /flushdns. After that, you can choose DNS Server, will it be from your ISP thats slow, too bad and actually very dangerous, its up to you. Im using Comodo DNS for around 2 years, and its too good, always working fast. There is two types, standard who will block viruses by its own and warn you when you are about to visit dangerous site giving you options to allow for several minutes/hours, to create a virtual network to visit with protection and such things, second is family that got another layer of protection for kids, in short, no porn, no hot pics, no bad and terrible things...
