this song just works. in a world of 7 strings , sweeps , etc. this shows that simple , and slower can be heavy. if darkness had a son here i am

I suck and I can beat the main riff, but I don't do drums nor vocals. The new songs have just one key weakness, it's the lazy, boring Main riffs. They pick a Monotone rhythm of open E string, in this case it's 4 triplets add a lick and repeat. Now that's great a single song on the album, sure, but all 3 of their singles are the exact same. Otherwise I'd say the drums are great, better than Hardwired, the song structure is great as always and my favourite part of the singles are the vocals and vocal lines. The vocals + vocal lines are the best vocals since St.Anger or even Reload. They have so much character and are so good.
Edit: The chorus riffs are also very dad-rocky.

The verse kinda sounds like Gojira That's crazy how Metallica influenced Ghost and Gojira and just about every metal band and now Metallica listens to those bands to get influenced.
There it is the brand new single If Darkness had a son, a groovy new track with a sub par Kirk solo, which I am surprised You did. In terms of execution I will give this one 9.5/10 due to the little insignificant offs in the solo. Still bravo for doing it still. Excited to hear the full album next month. It's a gruvgear fret wrap! I use it mainly to get rid of some of the extra noise that can happen when you play hard on a guitar, like palm muting power chords and such. Maybe you can hear it if you hit a power chord really hard on your own guitar and mute immediately after, you'll hear some high notes coming from the headstock. You can also use it on the fretboard to mute all strings you aren't playing!
