Fr. Chris Alar , I've teared up . Noing i haven't been . Praying for all our Priests. 3 yrs ago. I've come back to the Catholic Church. Being a Catholic all of my life. Pretty much of my 6 siblings , went on to non Catholic Churchs . Its not the same. I looked at every different doctrines . Of churches .. i could not leave the Catholic Church. Mother my Mother, I've started to pay .. more attention to you. Than ever. Started to say the Rosary.. Thank you for guiding me back home.
Amen. Father Chris is a holy priest. We want you to rest, too, Father. Please don't make our Blessed Mother Mary shed tears out of Her concern for you. No Mother wants to witness Her son working 16 hour days without rest. 🙏
We need to pray for our Holy Father and all our Bishops/priests/clergy every single day. Multiple times a day. I am a cradle Catholic but had drifted away for many many years. When I came back to my Catholic Faith, I remember hearing a priest talk about scandals among the priests. He said if the priests fell it was our fault (fault of the laity). My first reaction was too get really upset and offended. How is it our/my fault?? Then I immediately thought, "when was the last time I prayed for the Pope? When was the last time I prayed for our priests?".....the answer was "Never". It was like being slapped by the Holy Spirit. I knew at that moment, the Holy Spirit was telling me I had to pray for the Pope/priests/clergy. Ever since that homily, I have prayed for our Pope and clergy every single day. Satan hates our priests and clergy. The priests hear our confessions and they give us Body, blood, soul and divinity of Jesus Christ in the Eucharist. The clergy who fall will have to respond to God but we (laity) too will have to answer for not praying for them.
