      Hi Navin. Thank you for your kind comments. It did take quite some effort to get the presentation to this state and am glad that you found the video useful.

      You are right! I think this series of LTE related video are the most well explained on the entire UA-cam.
      And I have a little question, why not doing a video about the up link in the Radio Primer series, it is because it basic the same as the down link one?

      @@IrfanAli-nz7mb One basic doubt i have sir,is there any reason why the location of pss and sss is fixed in every radio fram

    Seriously good training material. clear and crisp explanation. Lot of effort being put in the slides and very well explained.
    Thanks a lot !!! Keep giving us such materials.

    Hi Irfan , this has been by far the best video which explained the downlink frame structure in LTE . Thanks a lot for making this video happen and appreciate the effort you have put in to create the multi colour Frame Structure.

    Hi Irfan, Thanks a lot for sharing. I really like the way you are producing the videos, is very easy to follow your explanation with the slides and comments. I think there is an error on the PCI values, the SSS value goes from 0 to 167 so a total of 168 not 158. Thanks, keep the good work.

    I understand usage of SSS is to indicate the 10 ms or radio frame boundary but donot understand what is the purpose of PSS. Why would the UE want to know half radio frame boundaries ?

      Hi Varun. Agree that there is nothing really significant about half a radio frame. It is just that the design of PSS/SSS periodicity is 5 ms, which is 1/2 a radio frame. On the physical layer, this design may be driven by clock drifts etc (this is beyond the extend of my knowledge :) ).

    Think it would be more helpful to start with what happens when you power up your phone and HOW it gets sync'd to the eNB. Otherwise, it isn't clear how the eNB clock and the mobile clock become synchronized which is critical.

    how many symbols will be present in one sub-frame ? 14 or 7 !

    • @vidyabk1083
      @vidyabk1083 6 років тому +1

      One sub frame is 1msec. Since 7 symbols are contained in 0.5msec so 14 symbols are present in 1 subframe.

    • @vikieinstein
      @vikieinstein 5 років тому +1

      For NCP: 14 symbols per subframe
      For ECP: 12 symbols per subframe

      NCP: Normal cyclic prefix
      ECP: Extended cyclic prefix
