I like the name "stealth mode" for turning off all transmitters. Normally it would be called "airplane mode", but it's an aviation watch, so that name really doesn't work :D
But then you don't get to passive-aggressively show everyone that you're rich enough to drop $1,300 on a computer bracelet. What's the point of owning a Cirrus if you can't dunk on the poors?
A cool feature these don't have would be a programable checklist. So you could call up a check list and the watch would display each item or even better voice it out.
One thing not mentioned at all, and probably for a good reason: battery life with screen always on and at full brightness (imagine a brightly sunlit cockpit).
Maybe the Sp02 isn't accurate enough to be relied on in an aviation setting - I think it just comes standard on their higher end fitness watches. Just a guess
@@eviltreechop Could be. I see plenty of GA pilots using $20 units when on oxygen as a precaution. Aero makes a panel mount unit that retails around $1k. Aithre makes an iPhone accessory that goes on the ear and they market for aviation use (-$150). Seemed weird they would have the function and blow right past it in this context (aviation nerds who might but the thing just for that function).
I just ordered a Mach 1. Imagine what this would have cost as a cockpit panel just a few years ago. Of course, it's not certified, so it's more of a toy than a tool.
Ah a stealth mode for when you're casually taking you're 100HP bug smasher over enemy territory, and a kill switch for when they capture you, and take you for hostage
@@TRPGpilot I guess you don't want to fly with Americans anymore, racist? I just use an iPad. It does everything I need it to for much less money, plus it doesn't constantly tell me I'm fat and need to go for a run...
comment win for the day!

Your wife doesn’t do all of that every day🤣?

They didn't sound so keen to talk about the battery life, but that's the most critical feature of all imo
The Garmin Marq Aviator has a transflective screen (similar to epaper) and the batter can last a week. But Garmin seems to have abandoned that line.

Good lord I remember as a kid when one of guys got a new Loran and it was the talk of the airport.
I like that time until sunset feature, would be good to see time in local and UTC for current position as well as destination.
I've bought cars for less than these watches. The high-end one costs as much as 210 gallons of 100LL in my area. I'll take the gas.
but how will you possibly be able to tell what time it is without it?
Does it tell time? 😆

To their credit, Garmins are usually pretty good on battery life, at least compared to the more mass market stuff like Samsung and Apple.
Pulse Ox/SpO2? and if so not mentioned as an aviation feature?

You need a tight band with good skin contact and you wouldn't want to rely on it to tell you you're about to black out.

Hmm it's a cool gadget but I don't think people would use all that feature. Especially since we all have phones
Mötley Crüe fans, nice!
sadly, these watches do not appear to work in corporate or commercial cockpits or passenger cabins which is a shame. Only for lite aircraft...
Apple watch or this?
Apple watch would certainly be cheaper. This prices are astronomical. Might be worth it if you use Garmin Pilot.
Too much info to deal with. What ever happened to KISS? I guess they are appealing to Star Trek fans. Cool until the battery runs down.

How much are these watchers
Do people really watch these videos or the description?
@@flexairz i watch them but we never get the price of the watch mate0
A watch that does everything that a smart phone or glass display does……. Gimmick.
exactly
Why?
Science fiction 30 years ago, reality today.
Er are way way a head of our time this day and age
Every commercial pilot should have one of these.
Would it not be cheaper to check the weather. This watch will not be cheap
