6,300 or so, also after looking at the KB value it looks like they just pulled the fair offer value from there since it was the same appraisal they gave me. Since there are not a lot of used 2024 performance models for sale right now my guess is that the data on KB isn't correct and they may need more data to come up with a more accurate market value.
Your car is sick man! Great video and don't be so hard on yourself with the camera mount issue. I had the same problem the first time I tried filming with that same headband mount. Keep up the great work!
Sorry to burst your bubble, but 37K for a 2024 Model 3 Performance is very low. At a base starting price of $54,990, your vehicle depreciated by 33% (rounded from the actual 32.7). The 2024 Model 3 Performance has only been on the market for about six months. So you lost 1/3 of the car's value in half a year. If you weren't aware, since September 2022, the average used electric car price has tumbled from $63,069 to $33,645. Electric car prices have fallen off a cliff. Great if you're buying a used EV, but terrible if you're selling. The bottom line is that if you're purchasing an EV in today's market, buy a used EV. Many great deals on low-mileage used EVs if you take the time to look for them.
You seem nice, but young. Have you dad help with stuff like this, because 37k is not a good offer. Furthermore, I am sure you are doing this just to get a video out on the car. None the less, trade in taxes is what you are speaking of. Educate yourself, and get your parents to help you.
37k for a model 3 is good bro. He paid what like 45k or so. And he's only getting 8k less... he's barely losing anything on a used car in a market where cars are depreciating fast. Do you think a private seller is paying more? No way and minimal hassle seeling to carfax vs random people which is a huge hassle. That's definitely a good offer what would you want 40 to 45k for a car that costs 45k after tax credit or low 50s no tax credit. Even with no tax credit he only loses 15 or 8k with it. 8k is nothing in today's market!
Thanks for taking the time to provide your thoughts! You're right, 37k is definitely not a good offer, but I think it is a good enough offer for someone that needs quick cash, and if I had to take a guess I believe that is the type of person Carmax offers appeal to- at least in this economy lol
@@epg423 The '24 Model 3 Performance starting price is $54,990 excluding any options/only stealth gray/no taxes included. Where are you getting one for over $10k less than starting, because I will buy that in a heartbeat!
Ya probably the worst of any car 😅 with evs getting so cheap tho eventually all cars will depreciate. Eventually everyone will just want new evs and all other cars will keep going down as evs get cheaper. Unless somehow batteries go up in price due to raw materials increasing. Idk enough to say but I'd still be prices come down a good amount more but idk for sure
any car loses value but tesla isnt even luxury and i have one myself it has tech great daily driver. but this dealer or carmax third party seller isn't giving him a great deal for him. these companies want to maximize every profit and resell for higher its all business at the end of the day. but tesla will give you at least 45l if not more. this all depends who you want to work with to sell you. they're the best bang for your buck performance. i do 2.7 0-60 and less than 10 sec quarter mile for less than 50k. any car isnt an investment and they all lose value. only million dollar or half a mil cars go up if its limited edition or high demand for the car but low supply/ not enough quantity. but basically these cars aren't meant for trading or holding on for value increase. most cars that hold its value is garage queen, if bought this car for more than 50k with interest and fees than you're kind of losing for the trade but anything below that you're not really losing much
Me and my Dad talked about this yesterday actually, and I might make a video about it. I believe all EV's and most hybrids lose a lot of value within the first 2 years especially if there is a design refresh or some significant change to the model. That said, there is a floor value or rather a projected floor value in this case that does have some relevance, and I believe that after 24 months, and 24k miles the new M3P will range between the mid to high $30k range.
37k still pretty low, considering Tesla offered me 45k for the same exact car a few months ago and people are selling close to msrp from Tesla.
A few months ago is not today. I promise you it’s much lower
@@benjaminmartin3212Yea, these Tesla depreciate like crazy, honestly not surprising.
@@benjaminmartin3212 a few thousand lower at most and maybe no change at all. You're crazy if you think the car depreciated almost 10k in 2-3 months
We’re all missing a major variable here…what was the mileage on the M3P when he had it appraised?

@ thx for the info! I agree, it could be due to limited market data for that model. Either way, that’s pretty low!

Appreciate that man! I'm still getting used to making videos with the Osmo cameras in general, but I'll getting better at it sooner than later!

Teslas are great if you keep it for at least 10years.
That's around 15k low,not sure your mileage, but that's low. I have sold 3 cars there. They dont low ball. Tesla does.

It's unfortunate but EV's lose value like a luxury car. Almost worse.
They’re nice though especially if u keep them

It's all relative however, In area's where gasoline is almost 4.00 a gallon or over it, they're obviously more in demand and hold there value better,
