I know other people have commented on this but, as I am a Ffestiniog Railway volunteer, I felt the need to point out that four of the engines are from that railway. The green tender engine is called Blanche. The small blue engine is a quarry hunslet named Britomart. The other green engine is a double fairlie named Earl of Merioneth (which has sadly been retired). Finally, the engine on the end is called Taliesin.
Oliver if you didnt know that that long green steam loco that was two-sided that is called the FR Double Fairlie and the red one next to it is called the FR Single Fairlie (Need help with more locomotive names that you dont know ask me cuz I know everyone of them)
The light green one is Called Blanche or it could be Linda and the blue one is britomart and the green one is called a double fairlie and the red one is called taliesin
These are my favorite kind things on UA-cam. I Love steam engines and I love your videos. Please keep this up. Watching you content puts a big smile on my face.
its a little unfair for the engines on the outside track because it takes longer to turn for them so the engines on the inside tracks have a better chance of winning because they don't have to go as far
I voted engine 3. Wasn't surprised with the result. The battery engine doesn't have a motor or a flywheel it needs to rev up, or need to wait for steam pressure to build. It just goes, because it's powered by a DC motor.
In your loco list, anything with the letters "FR" at the beginning is narrow gauge. They come from the narrow gauge Ffestiniog Railway. I guess the green Fairlie engine would win since it has two boilers and more driving wheels
My pic to win: Little yellow battery cart Spoiler: EDIT: Huh. Second. Neat Also, a tip for a better race next time. You made it so the ones on the inside have a much better chance to win than the outside. I recommend is either: A. Make the corners alternate in the turns (1st turn goes to left, 2nd to right, etc.) B. Have the engines start at points going farther back (If confused, look up track starting positions)
3:45 it's called a double fairlie, and you can find a few on the ffestingnog railway in wales. 3:57 is a single fairlie also from the same railway, you can see the difference
That engine that looks like two put together is actually called a double farlie locomotive. And I think engine number one is actually Edward Thomas, no.4 on the Talyllyn Railway before the Corris railway shut down.
Narrow gauge locomotives aren’t as fast as standard gauge locomotives due to wheel size. Larger wheels allow for a higher speed while smaller wheels allow for more reactive effort(pulling power via traction). Do that’s why they’re all slower than standard gauge
@@magicguystudios7940 jkjk mean just kidding just kidding also i know that was towards lazerjet and i also know that was like the model for peter sam or falcon
No. Only one (kinda 2) of them is a basis for a Thomas character, the double Fairlie is Mighty Mac's basis. Engine 1, the Corris railway's no. 7, is a Tattoo class, but built in 2005, waaaaaaay after Peter Sam was introduced into the Railway Series. Same basis though.
Imagine the yellow is goin faster than the super class 47
If That Was Real On That Game Everybody Would Race This
4
Haha that would be fun
Imagine the FR double fairlie engine going faster than smokey joe
Duke Of Sodor:"poor old engine" He Teased "it's no good Stuart You Can't Win".

The green one is known as the Mighty Square! Sadly mothballed as of 2018. :(

Amazing race. Also the little blue one is a Hunslet I've seen a 2ft one on the bredgar and wormshill light railway named lady Joan its truly cute
I fell in love with Narrow gauge locomotives yesterday, and I’m so glad this came out now!!!
Great video. Also imma try to be at your next stream.
I like how you went in like rainbow order
The weird looking one is a Double Fairlie.
Engines participating in the race: Peter Sam, Alan Meadon, Clayton, Blanche, Britomart, FR Double Fairlie and the FR Single Fairlie
1st One Might Actually Be Edward Thomas Maybe Edward Thomas Or Something

They also lose speed due to tighter turn tho
Too those of you who don't know.
Engines 1-3 are locos from the Corris Railway.
Engines 4-7 are locos from the Ffestiniog Railway.

Hi Oliver. I'm a big fan of your videos. Keep up the good work buddy.
Can you make a minature gauge railway in Train simulator 2021.
Hi Oliver just want to say great video and one little fact. All the narrow gadge locomotives you used are from Welsh railways
OMG LazerJet is back keep up with the good content your making see ya in the next vid
Do more races and you are cool
I love the races
Also there is a American Narrow Gauge Route based in the Rockys in Colorado, though it has a different type of Narrow Gauge track.
Engine 6 is my favourite!!
Yay a race!!!
you did my request, IM A HAPPY BOI
That was intense
Blanche and the double fairlie are both from the Ffefstiniog and Welsh highland railway.

after race: NOOO MIGHTYMAC!!!
I think the first engine you showed will win
sharp corners for narrow gauge train are not bad for them
well Platform 1 Looks Like Peter Sam From Thomas and Friends
This is awesome ❤🎉😮😊🎉🎉
Now this is the end game and honestly I think the double fairly should will because of its two engines
The red diesel engine is called a simplex and is from ww1
Yep, and is on the Corris Railway
And Edward Thomas is from the Tallylyn railway. Just a few facts for you.
Yo put the super class 47 behind the flying Scotsman and tornado that will be funny 😂
Oh look it's peter sam and mighty mac from Thomas and friends
Power of the Narrow gauge engine!!!!!!
Narrow gauge are so underrated.

Surprised About The Clayton (Engine 3)
And The Alan Meadon (Engine 2) Surprised It Won

No. It is Corris no. 7, built in 2005, but it is very similar
NICE
That’s funny. I’m starting to build a layout in my loft.

Love the outro
The Blanche should have one it could go faster than that, I've seen.
3 of them engines are from the Ffestiniog railway in Wales. The 4th, 6th and 7th
The 5th loco is as well. It's one of their army of quarry hunslets.
peter sam do be winnin tho well the winning steam engine
I think 3 is going to win...
Why do I vote that? I don't know because I'm stupid lol
I’m rooting for the red one next to the push me pull me…
It’s #7
I think that light blue tank engine is going to win because it’s my favourite
How did i never think of this
It would be nice if you make a western train Race
The push-pull engine is an double fairlie engine incase your wondering
The first narrow gauge race
My favorite was the u1 garret style loco
Do a train simulator race with West Coast mainline train
The smol boi is gonna win
My favorite is the blue one and the oddball diesel
