Just beautiful, Robyn! I am completely addicted to gelatos! Actually, all the Faber-Castell products are great. But gelatos are definitely my favorites. They're so fun to play with! TFS, Heather
I really enjoyed the tutorial and really liked the card! Thanks for showing the different techniques, how they look with the feathering or more blending.
Hi, I'm a big fan of the gelatos too, but I have a tip for you when it comes to embossing. When we flick the back of the cardstock to remove excess embossing powder, that causes more powder than you might think. A light tap on your table is plenty to dislodge the extra embossing powder. I tried it myself and I was very shocked at the difference between the two methods. By the way, I really enjoyed your video and I will be trying it tomorrow. Thank you.....Cynthia
You're very welcome, my dear. =) Glad you enjoyed the tutorial. They are fun and easy to use. If you like art journaling or working with canvas, you'll really get a lot of use out of them. On Friday, I'll have another Gelatos tutorial (2 banners). Enjoy the rest of your evening. Thanks for always being an encouragement, Jil. I appreciate you. :)
very pretty, and surprisingly easy!... I am a new comer to Gelatos, embossing, etc. I want to incorporate these techniques into my fine art paintings on canvas and watercolor paper. Thanks for sharing!
Robyn, I have these and have yet to try them...silly me, I know. Thanks for sharing, I will play this week! Love how the card turned out! The color combo is just right! ~ Jeanne
Hi Robyn, I really enjoyed this video. I love how your card turned out. I have been checking these out at my local store & keep thinking I'll get some if they are something I might use. Now that I've seen what you do with them, I am pretty sure I'll use them. Thanks for the tut! JIL
It said in the video, but I had to re-watch it since it's been 8 years. It is Whisper White cardstock from Stampin' Up!, so just a smooth, white 120 gsm.
