- This is the 7th generation of an iconic car. Since 1974, the Golf has been the class leader in the C segment, a benchmark in terms of precision and quality for any car manufacturers that compete in this segment.
Now, the original Golf designed by Giorgetto Giugiaro is 40 years old. In 2012, Volkswagen launched the latest Golf, the Mk7 (or Golf VII). This car is something like 100 kilos lighter than the predecessor, thanks to the all-new VW-Group modular MQB platform. It’s more secure, too: the Golf can be equipped with technology like Lane Assist, Adaptive Cruise Control and Blind Spot Sensor.
This particular Golf is the Highline 1.4 TSI Turbo engine, with 140 hp and the cylinder-deactivator system, that combined to the DSG dual clutch transmission, allows great fuel economy: just 4.7 litres for 100 kilometers (about 50 mpg)!

You can't go wrong with a Golf
I remember watching this video when I was deciding to get this Golf. In 2016 I bought one, similar to this one. Always when I drive it and look in my left mirror I have to think about the outside driving shots in this video. Love it!
I just got a 2016 golf bluemotion 140hp.. Did not came with LED light, and the sound is way different.. Still is the best car I ever drive, way better than audi A1

The best Golf 7 video I found. Get mine next week. Is yours a bit deeper than the original gear? I have 16"Alus only and wonder how 17 or 18 would look like without bringing the car lower...
+Stephan Ottow With DCC the car is about 10 mm lower than normal. I'm pretty sure the rims are 18" Durban.

ye i also don't think it is visible, but as you mentioned it, this was the first thought that came in my mind. Nevertheless i think the 18" rims make the car look much sportier. I don't think that the car is lowered.

I have a VW Golf 6 TSI 122HP Highline..
And I think the Highline Ediotion is worth it.. it feels so much more confortable.. and it's still budget..
Definitely worth the upgrade to Highline trim.

The R line package gives you nicer wheel (17"), stiffer suspension, sporty cloth seats, a GTI-style steering wheel and a more pronounced body kit. Is it worthy? If you like how the car looks with the R line yes, it gives you some nicer trim and it doesn't cost too much. However is more an esthetic than a technical upgrade.

It's the rear view camera that comes out from behind the VW logo-boot release.
