We played good but big credit to the Cuban goalkeeper. He should have gotten the player of the game
The best passing game that I have seen from Jamaica in years. 501 passes made that is great. I have been praying to see a 500 plus passes team coming out of Jamaica. Trust me though we need to employ the 5-4-1 formation , when we play Honduras. Honduras is no joke, they just destroyed Trinidad and Tobago 4-0.
Most of the passes were backwards and sideways, very boring… absolutely no entertainment.

@@sliqvuemedia2083 If there is no path forward , sometimes you have to go back until you find an opening. If you keep forcing to go forward, you can lose the ball and put your side in danger. World Champions Argentina has many back passes also. THis is the best passing game I have seen from Jamaica in a very long time. Kasey Palmer revealed his true potential last night also.
The words to emphasize on is didn't put the ball in the back of the net and didn't get the result but getting 500 passes whether backward or side way we would have never seen that before in our host regarding the national team

We have been out possed by evey team we played with Grimm before no matter who we played. We never had more than 30percent possession in most games even when we won. We won games and after we were saying we could have lost if blake did not make big saves
Controlled the game, good positives for the first meet up and game under the new coach, it will take several camps until we see the full effects of the coaches philosophy
I was very impressed with our game, but I left frustrated (near angry) at the scoreline. At the same time, I am tempering my mix of feelings with the fact that it's just Cuba. (No need to take that back).

Jamaica was unlucky not to score. Those things happen in football. This new coach approach is different and interesting. He wants to see fans at matches. Hes English and that's what he wants to see. Support is a big motivation for a team.

Jamaica 🇯🇲 you have not played this good on a long time, but Cuban Goalkeeper ( hope he is playing overseas or soon go overseas to play) who to me had a outstanding performance save Cuba 🇨🇺, I wonder would happen if many of of Cuban players play overseas as they did good in the Under 20 World Cup qualifiers, play in the Gold Cup a few times and won the Caribbean Competition, if all the Cuban players who fled Cuba 🇨🇺 during athletic competitions or were born in other countries played for Cuba 🇨🇺, Cuba 🇨🇺 would be a major threat in International Competition 😳🤔

Something’s that a lot of people don’t see is that, the national stadium field is not at the best quality to play on the ball has too much drag the field is very slow they need to change the grass get a new pitch which plays faster so the players can play quicker and flow.

We could not organize any shot at the top of the area between the midfield and the forward. They rolled it to the ST who now needed to stop it for the onrushing midfielder and there was none. This organization was not only non-existent but there was hesitance in everyone receiving the ball with their backs to the goal and tight marking with no space to turn. The Cubans did not come to play therefore there is nothing I can say for either the midfield and they had no competition nor the defense.

Nicholson is not an international level player. He is 6'4" and timid in the air. He is always flat footed and easily pushed off ball.
Yea shamar was the only player out there missing chances
Reid is the issue I guarantee if Nicholson started we would've scored he's the most in form for the national team
I don't really agree with that don't get me wrong love what shamar has done for the team but I really think he is not consistent and at times he feels like coin flip that's my take personally yes he can score if it's a good day for him but he has too much bad days if we can find a way to get him more consistent and we can depend on him yea keep him in the squad but don't be surprised if he starts getting less time in the squad @@brentondewar1347

The build up was too slow, players were walking when they should be sprinting, not getting into the box quickly which allowed Cuba to fall back and defend.

My takeaway lies with the continued poor condition of the field. I have not seen any top-tier field get this thrown up this easily, resulting in slipping and sliding by the players. The other is the substitutions. I was very disappointed that Russell was drought into the middle, and instead, Campbell, who added nothing to the game, was brought in. Dixon's substitution was too late. I understand we were dominating the possession, but we need a middle-of-the-park presence to force Cuba into the middle and allow them to exploit the wings more. Finally, our attack was just too predictable after a while. Cuba did what Jamaica has done for years vs better opponents - they parked the bus, and their keeper was terrific.

You played against rass Cuba with 10 men. Ofcourse you will look good in possession but hell, if you cant score to win the game there is no moral victory. We play to win. PERIOD.
