- It’s time for us to go grocery shopping for Noah’s 17th birthday and my husband’s presents for Father’s Day.
This year we have two huge special people to celebrate in one day.
I’m definitely a person that is all about traditions so we had in town get the presents and then we get all of the party decorations. We can get them all set up before Noah wakes up in the morning. And yes, they realize what’s going on when they’re older, but it’s so funny because the day before they go to bed early cause we have to decorate
So we pick up all the party plates I do like to do fun kids themes sometimes I’ll color them if they have like a special sports team like football or basketball kids don’t like having the character themes and I like doing it for them
We also get their candy and drink that becomes part of their presence and depending on the different birthday milestones. They normally get regular presents, but then they’ll get one big present from me and my husband.
I’ve been doing this since my kids were little. They absolutely love it, and I hope that they carry on this tradition when they have their families.

We did that to my sister when she turned 50 years old we put trick candles on her cake the candles wouldn't go out we were at my parents place my parents live in a retirement community it got smoky in the house from the trick candles the smoke detectors went off and because it was a retirement community down at the main building they got notice the smoke detectors went off so security came to my parents place to make sure everything was ok
