- The Bristles were a great "pogo punk" band from New Jersey that was around throughout the 90's.
Beer City Records was AND STILL IS an amazing label out of Milwaukee, WI. They have a very prolific catalog of releases from some of the worlds best (and often overlooked) Punk, Hardcore and Crossover. Possibly no other label released so many bands from the Midwest that otherwise may not have ever been heard. With permission granted directly from Beer City Records, I will soon be posting MORE stuff from the Beer City catalog in the future, as I own most of their 7 Inches and LPs. Check out Beer City Records online, as there are still a few copies floating around of some of these bands I will be posting. Be sure to check out the mighty "Motherfuckers" sampler I posted on this channel, also released on Beer City!!! There are a few old 7 Inches from the 90's still available on the Beer City Records website. Have a look at store.beercity.com/mm5/merchan...
Track listing...

5. Waste of Life
Ripped directly from the actual 7 Inch. Viva La Vinyl!!!
I remember buying nearly every Beer City 7" through mail order when I was a teenager in Louisville. So many awesome bands that I got to hear because of this label.
Ky sux for punk, it's like it never happened there.
I left Oakland to stay with a girl I met in LA like 15 years ago. It was awful.
K the president is such an awesome song! I totally forgot about this song its been like 25 years!
I heard this about 8 years ago and I’m back for some more
My husband still has this record went to see them live he is old he turned 40 today
Thats not old! Least I hope not. I’m 5 away
If 40 is old, then I'm fucked...
Love the crazy spazzy drum fill at 3:23!!!
Up the punx!
The Bristles were one of the best back in the 90s and the singer got into a lot of underground punk through USA up all night playing "Another state of Mind" back in like 87 I saw that same show. They played Bad Brains videos and other shit and I checked out TSOL, AdolescentsBattalion of Saints, etc, Everyone they showed in fliers and stuff. Seeing that changed a lot for me and I got to meet Youth Brigade and some others years later. Life rules.
still have this!
Thank goodness for all age shows
Thanks for posting this i had a cassette of theirs years ago..
Ayee sick!!!
I remember their ads in thrasher magazine when I was a kid. mom wouldn't let me order anything because their slogan said"not that BULLSHIT on mtv" haha
I remember the ads in thrasher, I still have the mag, thats one of the Reasons why buy mag, its was the only way to find out about hardcore punk trash metal bands, back in the day there was know youtube, it was hard find eny thing on hardcore punk in ENGLAND.i must of been the only kid into it in my town. .
@@jamesmitchell8028 in England I thought there was a lot of punk in the uk?
@@fukcensorship9395 I wasn't there but I happen to know that after the late 80's english hardcore explosion like heresy and sore throat all got absorbed into the earache grindcore scene in the early 90's it all eventually became death metal over there, save for small scenes of crusties and street punks dotted scarcely throughout england. Europe and america had thriving scenes across the 90's on the otherhand, same here in australia.
The bristles, the motherfuckers, SMD... And the list goes on and on. Thank you for this upload, beer City Records rules and always has!...........
