To properly open a jump ring you need to apply opposing pressure using 2 sets of pliers. This will allow the ring to easily come back together without distorting the intended shape of the ring. Watch any jewelry making beginners tutorial.
Girl! Just a suggestion :) on your “hot to” tutorials, you should put a list of supplies in the description box. I just had to sit in hobby lobby and rewatch this video to find out exactly what I needed in the jewelry section 😂 totally not necessary because I love your videos and rewatch them often but in a pinch, it’d be super helpful ❤️
I agree. I skipped about the first 8 minutes of her talking about her beads and the supplies you need. When you're a crafter/jewelry maker, you already know what kind of supplies you'll need... and putting a written list does help a lot and saves time.
Thank you for sharing your knowledge of how to make your beautiful beads!! I’m going to get busy!! I’m glad that it has already been mentioned that there is a more correct way to open your jump rings but they didn’t really explain how to do it. The best way to learn it is just to google how to open a jump ring because you want them to be strong and perfect like you! You do an amazing job!!💕
These are really pretty. Thanks for sharing your technique. I was so curious. There are so many materials and beads you could use to make these. And so many uses. Earrings would be awesome.
oh MAN! First off, thank you SO much for showing how to make (your style) of Boho Beads! I've wanted to know how you created your specifically before attempting to try it myself. And ...by FAR, they're the prettiest I've ever seen! They more than capture a "sytle" - they have a LIFE to them.. an essence - simply GORGEOUS! SO glad I discovered you on UA-cam! Thanks for sharing!!! :D
So so pretty! Thank you for sharing your technique, Nazy! This takes me back to my jewelry making days, I guess it is jewelry ... journal jewelry. Also, little seed beads can be added to the wire for a little bulkier bead. I would guess there are many variations that could be applied for lovely results. Thanks again honey for another great tutorial! Have a happy day and I am pretty much counting minutes to the kit reveal and listing....
Sue, your messages ALWAYS with no fail put a tremendous smile on my face, I seriously wish we could hangout one day and craft, wouldn't that be nice right! I have never heard of seed beads but they sound absolutely fascinating! I will definitely have to try them out with the future charms I create as I love learning knew techniques to use, thank you so much for always leaving such kind thoughtful comments, it makes creating videos all worth it sweetheart! Sending so much love to you and I fingers crossed you will pick up a kit darling! XOXO!!
Miss Nazy!!! What a high compliment you paid to me.....to wish to hang out and craft with me!!! Girl, that would be so much fun! Who knows, maybe someday....let me know if and whenever you come to the Seattle area and I'll make that happen:-) Seed beads are just little tiny beads, usually made of glass. They're different sizes, so i like to use the really teensy tiny beads for these. Actually, I think your tiny beads in this tutorial at each end of your Boho charm are seed beads! I'll post the Boho beads that I made inspired by your video on Instagram tomorrow, if you want to check them out, skchesley on Instagram. Also, where I live is on the Olympic Peninsula in Washington state, and to be honest, it's a sportsman's heaven over here. I wandered into a shop the other day, kind of a guy's crafting store, it's called Waters West, I think, and they sell everything needed to tie flies for fishing. I found WIRE in the finest sizes and the prettiest colors, for 1.95 a spool! They had more expensive, but I didn't need more expensive - they had feathers of just about any kind you could dream of, and what I believe is what women call 'angelina fibers' in every color imaginable. Anyway, they do sell online if anyone is interested. Thanks again Nazy, for the great compliment - sorry this reply is so wicked long! *hugs*
I see these kind of beads all over the place, they are beautiful, I wonder who created these for the first time :) must be very creative people all over in this world, I seen so many paper crafts that have been around for so many years, ever since people started scrapbooking
Absolutely awesome I love different textiles and fabrics what a beautiful way to use them I think I'm going to make myself a set of beautiful earrings ❣️
Amity, thank you so much 😊 I really appreciate your time and your creating that awesome Boho bead..... I really love 💕 this...and you gave us a fantastic tutorial.
Very inspiring-looking bead! My mother used to make those kind of beads by the ton when she was in Art School, luckily she taught me the technique and I love how you included the different fabrics in your bead! Lovely! ^____^b
How pretty!!! Thank you for the tutorial. I made one and it turned out ok. I don't know how to send a picture of the one I made and I wanted to show you.
Hi lovely, Would love to see a tutorial on how you put together the textile covers and pages. How you make the base of the journals if that makes sense? I've never made a journal before, therefor have no idea how to make a textile cover or how to put all the pages together. I Absolutely love your textile journal styles and would love to make one for my little girl as a keepsake
Hi Nazy. Thank you for sharing your technique of Boho Beads. They are so pretty, but I wonder how would I attach the bead to my journal, as there is no loop at the top...Thank you for your help.
Greate tutorial. Love the colors. I want to make these beads but I see you don’t have any kits left on your Etsy shop. I need to purchase the supplies. Can you give me a list of items needed so I don’t need to keep playing and stopping the video please. What is the name of the purple tube you used for the base?
My poodle’s poop bags are rolled up on a hollow plastic rod that is the perfect size save for this bead project. The rod can be cut shorter if desired. No pup in your home? Ask a neighbor with pup to save for you.
It looks like the wire is holding the thread (no glue used) but I would think you could put a very small dab of glue on each end of the thread to hold it in place until you wrap it with the wire. I wouldn't use too much glue because it will show.
Immortal Art~ Aww yay! I am so happy this was helpful! I think your going to have a lot of fun creating it, great mini project to do! Sending my love 💛
CreativeLiving just buy your own from eBay , collect bits of fabric from old tops and clothes , cut them into largish squares, but all beads tools and bits are really reasonable from eBay hunni 😘
AliLou Creations. Thank you for the suggestion, you are right and i do that on a regular basis. I just wanted to treat myself to one of Nazi's sets, more for the selection of fabric, actually. I'm a real spend thrift, usually, making my books from clothes, i'm working on a couple from floral tops now, ha. Sometimes, you just gotta buy something a little special. We'll see, maybe the postage will be too much for me. Thanks again X
I hear people say "metal thread" when they mean "metallic thread". It is an easy slip of the tongue. I see she used metallic thread and then thin metal wire over it.
It's not really a bead, but more a charm, right? I know that beads have holes through the middle of them. Just curious, because I wouldn't be able to actually string these.
Sarah Lovesya yes charms. She does use beads on them... so I guess that’s why she says they are beads..? You can’t string these like your typical “bead”
Sarah Lovesya Yes your exactly right these are actually considered charms but the term that people use to refer to them are "bohemian beads" so that way if people were searching for a tutorial they would be able to find it easily ☺️ I hope this helped!
CriesPearls-Art Studio yea you can't, they are used more as charms, I just have it the title of bohemian bead because that is the term people use to refer to them :) maybe if you didn't close it, then you would be able to string them? I'll try it out and see if it works because these would be lovely for a bracelet!
Audra Hello sweetheart! If your referring to the bohemian bead I created I am currently not selling them, I just wanted to create a tutorial so that anyone could create them :) If your talking about the glass beads I used to make the bohemian bead charm those are sold in my textile kit which I will give the details for tomorrow! hope this helped! 🤗
Jump rings should be opened and closed with a twisting motion as to not stress the metal (because it could break). Using two pliers you twist open. Search for a video to explain better. :)
You need to update your link. There is no kits on there just washi. Cool idea but making it way to complicated. A hot glue gun is less mess and dries way faster.
Aww no! So sorry about that sweetheart, I am not a professional jewelry maker, I just do the techniques that come easiest for myself but I appreciate so much you letting me know the right way to do it!
Yes. I suggest that too. I used to ruin my jump rings by doing it this way. They broke from the tension. Once I learned to do it the right way, I found that it was easier and quicker! It isn't hard to learn to do it the safe way.
Amity Bloom I know that anyone who has started making jewelry without an instructor has done it this way. I've had bad experiences with my jump rings breaking because of the strain on the metal. It is easy to learn the "right" way. I've seen some great video tuts on it. Maybe once you learn, you can make a video! Your tuts are easy to follow.
The hands were really annoying while she was just talking. I had to watch with a scrap of paper covering her hands. Also, the constant references to the bohemian kit were too much. Couldn't watch. There are plenty of other tutorials on yt. I'm gone.
I hope you all try making your own bohemian bead as they make beautiful embellishments for journals, jewelry making, and as gifts! Do u ever make necklaces with them?

Lovely, and very well explained
WONDERFUL teacher 😊

Excellent video, you are a great speaker and excellent at explaining. I look forward to additional videos and to creating some beads.
Your beads are gorgeous! I can't wait to try making one. Tfs.

Thank you for this Nazy, they're lovely embellishments for journals. x
This was a nice adaptation to the original bohemian bead tutorial by Secret Soto that I saw. I will try it. Thank you!
Very inspiring-looking bead! My mother used to make those kind of beads by the ton when she was in Art School, luckily she taught me the technique and I love how you included the different fabrics in your bead! Lovely! ^____^b
Hi Nazy! You have a talent for explaining beading and Jewelry-making. You should think about expanding into Jewelry tutorials.
How pretty!!! Thank you for the tutorial. I made one and it turned out ok. I don't know how to send a picture of the one I made and I wanted to show you.

Greate tutorial. Love the colors. I want to make these beads but I see you don’t have any kits left on your Etsy shop. I need to purchase the supplies. Hermosos! Como los llamarías en español Nazy?
My poodle’s poop bags are rolled up on a hollow plastic rod that is the perfect size save for this bead project. The rod can be cut shorter if desired. No pup in your home? Ask a neighbor with pup to save for you.
Nazy where can I buy the base for this project? Thank you for the tutorial, I'm going to attempt making one Boho beads you are the best.
Make sure the gauge is 26ga. Anything higher will be too soft and anything lower will be too hard to bend. TFS Nazy💕🧚♂️💐
One question. What are the bases made out of? Plastic?
How do you make the wire stay and tread stay?did you put extra gue? Thanks for sharing hun
It looks like the wire is holding the thread (no glue used) but I would think you could put a very small dab of glue on each end of the thread to hold it in place until you wrap it with the wire. I wouldn't use too much glue because it will show.
Absolutely gorgeous! I've always wanted to make these, thank you so much for the tutorial my sweet! Xoxo~ 💟
Immortal Art~ Aww yay! I am so happy this was helpful! I think your going to have a lot of fun creating it, great mini project to do! Sending my love 💛
I think you've set the world record in saying bohemian bead in 21 minutes. I'd even say you set the universe record.

I love this ❤️❤️❤️❤️,,,,,
I just found your video, but kit is sold out, do you know will be restocking?
Can I buy the bead set
Another enjoyable video, thanks. Can i ask, how much the postage is to the U.K?. That's assuming that you ship here. :)

awe your kits are sold out ;) happy for you but sad for me lol. Did you say metal thread or metallic thread? ... they are beautiful by the way!!!

😍😍😍😍😍
How much are the beads?
Audra Hello sweetheart! If your referring to the bohemian bead I created I am currently not selling them, I just wanted to create a tutorial so that anyone could create them :) If your talking about the glass beads I used to make the bohemian bead charm those are sold in my textile kit which I will give the details for tomorrow! hope this helped! 🤗
I'm sorry, disregard my question. I finished watching video where is when you explain the addition of a loop.
That's the wrong way to open a jump ring.
You should never open them like that. They should be twisted open.
Aww no! So sorry about that sweetheart, I am not a professional jewelry maker, I just do the techniques that come easiest for myself but I appreciate so much you letting me know the right way to do it!
Socially Awkward Queen i mean this is not jewelry making 101...🤷🏻♀️just a little cute boho bead tutorial...

C'est très beau merci pour votre tuto.vos explications son un peu trop lomg.
Love your beads but you wave your hands around too much for me to watch.
